Psoriasis is commonly known as psoriasis. It is a common chronic recurrent inflammatory skin disease. The characteristic damage is red papules or plaques covered with multiple layers of silvery white scales, which are often found on the extensor side of the limbs, the scalp and the back. Severe skin lesions can occur throughout the body, and may cause high fever, pustules, erythroderma-like changes, and large and small joint lesions throughout the body. The cause of this disease is not very clear. It is currently believed that the occurrence of this disease may be related to genetics, infections, immune abnormalities, endocrine factors, etc.

Specific causes of psoriasis:

1. Genetics: A considerable number of patients have a history of familial incidence, and some families have obvious genetic tendencies. Psoriasis is a multigene genetic disease in which genetic factors interact with various factors such as environmental factors.

2, Infection: Studies in various aspects have confirmed that infections such as streptococci, Staphylococcus aureus, HIV virus, and fungi are related to the onset of psoriasis and prolonged course.

3. Immune abnormalities: A large number of studies have proved that psoriasis is an immune-mediated inflammatory skin disease, and its incidence is related to inflammatory cell infiltration and inflammatory factors.

4. Endocrine factors: Some female patients have reduced or even disappeared after pregnancy, and they worsen after delivery.

5. Others: Mental and neurologic factors are related to the incidence of psoriasis. Alcohol, smoking, medications, and mental stress may induce psoriasis.
