Effectively improve the health level of urban and rural women and improve women's health and well-being. On the afternoon of September 30, Jiangxia District Maternal and Child Health Hospital held a cervical cancer screening training class for urban and rural women of appropriate age, and invited Yang Rong, director of the Group Health Department of Wuhan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, to teach everyone.
Yang Rong interpreted the "Implementation Plan for Free Screening of Cervical Cancer in Urban and Rural Women of Eligible Age in Wuhan from 2022 to 2024" from the aspects of work goals, implementation mode, project objects, inspection content and procedures, work requirements, etc., and gave a detailed explanation of the quality control of cervical cancer screening projects.
It is understood that Wuhan City will use three years of to conduct free screening of cervical cancer for about 22.5 million and 35-64-year-old in the city from 2022 to 2024. The awareness rate of cervical cancer prevention and treatment knowledge reaches more than 80%; the early diagnosis rate of cervical cancer reaches more than 90%; the follow-up management rate of abnormal/suspicious cases reaches more than 95%, forming a closed-loop management of follow-up visits and early intervention.
From 2022 to 2024, any 35-64-year-old Wuhan household registration or permanent resident women can go to the designated medical and health care institution in the district where their household registration (or residence) can undergo cervical cancer screening with their valid ID (household account book, ID card, residence permit , etc.). Among them, the members of the women's trade union of the age of appropriate women are organized by their units.
Free cervical cancer screening project is an important livelihood project for the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to care for women, and an important measure for the government to care for women's health and promote the health and well-being of the majority of families.
