Clinical observation of 330 cases of post-infection cough treated with Shufeng Zhike Decoction

After infection Cough (PIC) refers to respiratory tract infections caused by various pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, mycoplasma, chlamydia, etc. The cough persists and lasts for more than 3 weeks after the acute phase symptoms disappear. In recent years, the author has used the self-made Shufeng Zhike Decoction to treat post-infectious cough mainly due to wind-cold and lung-related symptoms, and the results have been quite satisfactory. The report is as follows.

1 General information: 59 observation subjects were all post-infectious cough patients from the internal medicine outpatient department and inpatients of our hospital. Western medicine diagnostic standards refer to the 2009 "Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cough" of the Chinese Medical Association. The TCM syndrome differentiation and classification standards refer to the "Practical Guide to Clinical Pathways of Traditional Chinese Medicine" to formulate the key points of wind-cold Lung syndrome differentiation. Fifty-nine patients were randomly divided into two groups, with 30 patients in the treatment group, including 16 males and 14 females; aged from 18 to 49 years old, with a median age of 35.2 years; the shortest disease duration was 25 days, the longest was 70 days, and the median disease duration was 50.5 days.

There were 29 patients in the control group, 16 males and 13 females; aged from 19 to 47 years old, with a median age of 34.6 years; the shortest disease duration was 22 days, the longest was 75 days, and the median disease duration was 47.0 days. After statistical processing, there was no significant difference in the gender, age, disease course and other basic information of the two groups of patients (P0.05).

2 treatment method: treatment group was treated with the self-made Shufeng Zhike Decoction, prescription: 10g each of schizonepeta, perilla leaf, almond, fried citrus aurantium, earthworm, cicada slough, Chuanpu , platycodon 8g, white peony root 15g, raw licorice 4g, 5g of Schisandra chinensis. Addition and subtraction: If there is phlegm and dampness, add Fa Xia, Poria ; if there is yellow phlegm, add Forsythia ; if dry mouth , add Adenophora , Ophiopogon japonicus. Take 1 dose per day, boil it in water, and take it in 2 times, once in the morning and once in the evening. 10 days of continuous treatment is a course of treatment. The control group was given oral treatment of loratadine tablets , 10 mg/time, once/day, for 10 days.

3 treatment results:

3.1 efficacy standards: refer to the "Practical Guide to Clinical Pathways of Traditional Chinese Medicine".

Recovered: Cough symptoms completely disappear (reduced to 0 points after treatment); Markedly effective: Cough symptoms are significantly reduced (6 to 9 points less after treatment than before treatment); Effective: Cough symptoms are reduced (2 to 5 points less than before treatment after treatment); Ineffective: Cough symptoms are not improved or worsened.

3.2 results: The details are as follows. 3.2.1 Comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groups: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.7%, and that of the control group was 58.6%. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P0.05), indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group. See Table 1.

4 Experience: Cough after infection is caused by the pathogen lingering in the lungs after infection with the pathogenic factors, causing the lungs to lose their circulation and purification. The main etiology and pathogenesis is "exogenous pathogens, lung failure should be suppressed", wind evil is the main pathological factor, and wind-cold attachment to the lungs is the main syndrome. In view of the symptoms of wind-cold and lung-loving syndrome, a self-made Shufeng-Zhike decoction is used to dispel wind and cold, and relieve cough. Schizonepeta and perilla leaves are included in the prescription to dispel wind-cold; Platycodon is used to relieve wind and cold; fried Citrus aurantium husk is used to reduce lung qi. The two are matched, one rises and the other falls; almonds and Sichuan bark are used to relieve and relieve the pain. The ups and downs of Qi are used to rejuvenate the lungs. White peony root and licorice are combined into "Paeony and Licorice Decoction". It is sour and sweet and can transform yin, which can nourish the lungs and soothe lung qi.As far as this prescription is concerned, although pungent and warm drugs are mainly used to "dispel wind and relieve the lungs", they are clear in the middle, warm but not dry, lower in the middle and increase in the middle, and the ascending and descending complement each other. When all the drugs are matched, each can show its strengths and help each other's weaknesses, and can achieve the purpose of syndrome differentiation and treatment.
