Some stories are so absurd that you don't want to read them. But once you read it, you can't put it down. At the end of the book, you're still reluctant to continue reading, not knowing where the story will suddenly stop.

is talking about this book "Cross Country Race". This is a magical novel. Sometimes you feel that it is written like a real story, but after reading it for a while, you start to get confused again. How come it is so absurd that you can't help but knock yourself on the head while reading it seriously.

Of course, during the reading process, it has always brought me a lot of thoughts and inspirations. Next, I will share two points:

The first point of view is that it is a smart behavior for smart people to pretend to be stupid.

A smart person will smell the danger at the beginning of the matter. He will make a timely judgment and change his actions to protect himself.

The reason why I say smart people pretend to be stupid is because Bu Nian in the story is what this is about. What it says is that one day he was exposed on a big-character poster and everyone shouted, "Beat Feng Bunian." After suffering a severe beating, he suddenly "transformed" into a horse, crawling on the ground and making horse sounds. Isn't this weird? People thought he was crazy, watched the fun, and made fun of him.

Do you also think this person is crazy? Crawling on the ground every day? However, the author revealed this truth through the dialogue between Bu Nian and Xiao Hehua, that is, pretending to be stupid is one of the ways smart people choose to protect themselves.

is excerpted from the fourth chapter of the novel:

Bu Nian said: "The reason why I turned into a horse is because I was originally riding on a horse, and someone wanted to ride on a horse... If you have something in your hand, it is very dangerous. I turned into a horse , Not only did he have nothing in his hand, but he was no longer a human being, so there was no danger. "

Indeed, in the context of the novel and in that special situation, Bu Nian's transformation into a horse really prevented the fermentation of his incident, and also allowed him to suffer less, and it can even be said to have saved his life.

What this inspired me is, as the ancients said, "Every man is innocent, but he is guilty of carrying a jade." When we look at the problem, we still need to know the essence. In an extremely dangerous situation, the most important thing is to eliminate the danger as soon as possible. Don't take your "smartness" too seriously. Sometimes pretending to be stupid is an effective method.

The second point of view is that life has ups and downs, and no one’s road is easier than anyone else’s.

This point of view was derived after reading the entire novel. The characters in the book: Bu Nian, Xiao Hehua, Bu Qing, Lao Jinfa, Da Xiangxiang... These large and small, important or minor characters, each have their own ups and downs in life, each has their own choices when facing desires, and each result seems unexpected but reasonable.

just feels that if you read it carefully, you will see the complexity of human nature, greed, anger and ignorance from different characters, but you will also be inspired by their choices. Like a mirror looking at reality, you will find some traces of real society. This is why I said at the beginning that it looks like a novel, but sometimes it feels like it is true.

Generally speaking, there are some truths in the book. If you read it, you will be inspired like me. But what I value more is that a book brings me reflection on real life. Even if there is only one point of view, then this book is worth reading.
