Previous lecture, we talked about the six stages of people who usually go through interest-based reading, compensatory reading, comprecise reading, inquiry-based reading, thematic reading, and reflective reading. Naturally, most of our reading starts with the first stage of interest-based reading.

Interest-based reading stage, when we choose the reading object, we often lack a clear purpose. No matter what book we see, as long as we like it, we will borrow it from others without hesitation, or buy it home to read it. At this stage, I like to visit bookstores and book stalls, and I like to go to the library. I will go to the place where there are books. Moreover, after you get the book, you will read it in time, and read wherever you go, regardless of the dark day and day, and you will feel hungry and thirsty, and your reading efficiency is very high.

When I was in junior high school, I had the opportunity to apply for a collective library card . Every time I went to the county library to borrow more than a dozen novels, such as "The Great Sword", "Hikaku Song of Youth ", "The Fire King", "The Broadcasting of Fire", etc. Every time my friends took turns reading it together, they would borrow it back. During this period, I read a lot of books mainly based on novels and have a lot of interest. I often study overnight. In order to save electricity, I use kerosene or diesel lamps and lights to blacken my nostrils every day. Even now, there is still rhinitis that was fumigated at that time. However, this kind of interest-based reading greatly made up for the shortcomings in school textbook learning in the later period of the Cultural Revolution. Looking back now, my interest in reading at that time played a huge role in promoting my college entrance examination and improving my cultural literacy.

Interest-based reading is that interest-driven can greatly promote reading, but insufficient results will cause "nutrition", just like a child's partial diet. The reason why we focused on reading novel literary works at that time was that we were not interested in other things, and that no one could guide them and did not know how to choose. More importantly, in that era, there were not too many books to choose from, unlike now, there were many kinds of books available for random selection.

I hope that today's teachers or parents can effectively stimulate children's interest in reading, take advantage of the situation to teach children to read and read effectively, rather than blindly relying on their interests as I was at that time. I don’t believe in “There is a golden house in books and a beautiful woman in books”, but I have a deep understanding of the ability to cultivate oneself and change one’s destiny. will explain the second stage of efficient reading tomorrow: make-up reading . Welcome to continue to follow and forward and share!
