"Control Detailed Planning (block level) in Dahongmen District, Fengtai District, Beijing" was recently announced. The Dahongmen area will build a spatial structure of "two axes, four zones, one belt and multiple points", and rely on Nanyuan Road and the current Dahongmen Road to build a "ritual and music" dual axis.
Dahongmen area is located in the eastern part of Fengtai District, to the boundary of Dongcheng and Fengtai District, to the south to the South Fourth Ring Road, to Guangcai Road in the east, and to Majiabao East Road in the west. According to the plan, the Dahongmen area will be built into a demonstration zone for serving and ensuring the functions of the capital in the new era, a leading area for driving the development of the southern part of the city, a new highland for the capital with international appeal and a new cultural and artistic center with world influence. The total planned population of resident within the planning scope of
Dahongmen is limited to 131,600 people, and the total number of jobs is about 117,900, which will form an employment center in the southern part of the city.
Dahongmen area will be led by the central axis and plan to form an overall spatial structure of "two axes, four zones, one belt and multiple points". The "two axes" are to build a "ritual and music" dual axes based on Nanyuan Road and the current Dahongmen Road: large-scale public buildings and cultural and commercial office buildings are laid out along Nanyuan Road, and a "ritual and music" is created in an orderly space sequence; special commercial and leisure spaces are laid out along Ancient Imperial Road , and a "ritual and music axis" is formed in a lively and diverse place.
"Four Zones" are divided into Yudao Cultural and Creative Commercial Zone, Hongmen Cultural Business Zone and the life service supporting areas on both sides according to the dominant functions. The "Belt" means building an ecological landscape belt of Liangshuihe, , to form a high-quality waterfront vibrant corridor in southern Beijing. "Multiple points" means shaping multiple functional nodes along the dual axis of "ritual and music", focusing on the construction of four core nodes: Dahongmen Imperial Road Pedestrian Street, Fuhai Cultural Park, Dahongmen Art Park, and New Hongmen Cultural and Business. The
plan also defines the Dahongmen area as 48 leading functional partitions.
According to the plan, the Dahongmen area will build an overall landscape pattern of "one axis, two corridors, and multiple points" to create an overall style with "Chinese temperament, Nanyuan charm, and international style".
"One axis" is to build the central axis of the city landscape, add public green space along Nanyuan Road, and reshape the architectural style on both sides. The "two corridors" are to create two landscape viewing corridors along Dahongmen Road and Liangshui River, transforming Dahongmen Road into an Imperial Pedestrian Street, forming a landscape viewing corridor featuring urban leisure; improving the blue and green space along the Liangshui River to form an ecologically vibrant landscape viewing corridor. "Multiple points" means setting up multiple landscape nodes and landmark buildings, focusing on creating two first-level landscape nodes in Fuhai Cultural Park, Dahongmen Art Park, and multiple second-level landscape nodes such as the Sanhe (Liangshui River, Macao River, Hanhe) Waterfront Park.
According to the plan, the Dahongmen area will focus on the rail station and define seven integrated rail transit control scopes based on a radius of 300 meters. It mainly focuses on commercial, office, residence, public services, cultural and entertainment functions, and build a three-dimensional pedestrian network composed of ground sidewalks, underground passages, air corridors, crossing overpasses and other types of spaces around the site.
Dahongmen area will also lay out community living rooms in blocks to form a comprehensive community activity venue by vacancies idle land and commercial service land compatible with public service functions.
