Author profile: Xiaodi, member of Hongdan Writing and Growth Academy SVIP, loves reading and sharing. With a warm and upward heart, strive to be a practitioner of lifelong growth.

The famous Iceberg Theory points out that ‘’The "self" of a person is like an iceberg. What we can see is only a small part that appears on the surface - behavior, but what determines the change of behavior is more invisible parts under the iceberg. ‘’

is like joining Hongdan Writing and Growth Academy, reading many books, writing tens of thousands of words every year, writing as much as the manuscript, and monetizing... These are all external parts that appear. What really makes people grow is the changes under the iceberg, and the underlying thinking and ability developed in the college.

As an SVIP member, the gains brought to me by taking root in the community for a long time is helping me to realize greater potential in work, life, etc. and nurture more growth.

01 The habit of going to bed early and getting up early

Teacher Hongdan often says, "When you get up early, your life will begin to change. In our writing community, I will take everyone to get up early every day and develop a group of good habits."

Influenced by her, I started to get up early.

At first, this was quite difficult. As always, after waking up excitedly for a few days, the warmth of the bed and the lack of energy during the day made me want to give up and make excuses.

Just said the hesitation and difficulties, and immediately a friend gave me encouragement and advice, and shared their experience of successfully waking up early. With their help, I adjusted my early-wake strategy.

is to go to bed early. This is crucial, I stipulate that I must go to bed before 11 o'clock. Getting up early is to use the most energy to do important things, rather than compressing sleep time, otherwise it will not be sustainable.

The second is to get up early in progress. Gradually adjust the early time to get up earlier than your own. I used to get up at 7:10, but in the first stage I set it to get up at 6:50, so there was no obvious sleepiness. After arriving for four weeks, adjust to get up at 6:30.

The third is to accept supervision. I send early check-in to the community every day to encourage, help and supervise each other with my friends. With everyone's company, perseverance becomes easier.

Three months later, I went through a difficult period. Now, I have been getting up 610 days in total, with an average wake-up time of 6:05.

Reading, writing and important work are done by getting up early. After completing important things every morning, there is less anxiety and more calmness.

Like August Chang'an " The Best of Us " says, "Not all persistence has results, but there are always some persistences that can cultivate 100,000 blooming roses from an inch of frozen land."

The thing about getting up early is worth persistence.

2 Actively participate in quality

Teacher Hongdan often emphasizes that "dare to compare knowledge and willingness to compare ability." encourages us to be proactive and participate bravely in everything.

I used to like to dive silently and never take the initiative to participate. Driven by the community atmosphere, I began to actively link with others, participate in community sharing, speak in micro-classes, etc. The quality of active participation of

has also been moved to my work and helped me achieve a breakthrough.

In the first half of the year, our city will select the "Top Ten Party Building Brands in the City", which will be applied by the grassroots party organizations. After passing the preliminary review, they will be reported in a centralized manner and expert review.

compares the review conditions. We work solidly and have our own characteristics, but it is very difficult to be among the "Top Ten".

If it were before, I would definitely give up. After all, there is no loss if I don’t participate, and I can also avoid the embarrassment of ranking low. But this time, I want to give it a try and talk about it if I participate.

Next, I followed the idea of "setting the result goals, breaking down the goals, and then taking action and achieving" , and decomposing the goals and polishing them one by one. The application draft of

is the basis and it is an important basis for experts to understand the overall work of the unit during review. In accordance with the "reader's thinking", I sort out, classify and dig deep into my work, and strive to show the characteristics and highlights of my work.

PPT presentation is very important. A good PPT of will not only add points, but also make up for the shortcomings of the speech. I mainly use pictures, supplemented by a small amount of text, highlighting concise, atmospheric and eye-catching.

live speech is crucial. We practiced repeatedly to help speakers continuously optimize and ponder from typhoon , movement design, tone, expression, eyes, etc.

In the end, we stood out from 49 participating units and won the "Top Ten Party Building Brands in the City" with a good result of fifth place.

Lin WeixianTeacher pointed out that ‘’The biggest failure in life is not participating. If you participate, you either get it or learn it. "

. Because of my active participation this time, I not only got the desired results, but also learned the experience and practices of excellent units, broadening my thinking for the next step of work.

03 The ability to apply what I have learned

"Cognitive Awakening" author Zhou Ling said: "It is better to change a little bit than to understand a hundred points. True growth does not depend on how much you understand, but on how much you have changed. ”

In October, I participated in the manuscript training camp for listening to the book. After class assignments, I asked to answer: "A concept or problem I have learned, to use my own words to describe this concept or problem, how I have applied what I have learned. "

The homework form of

actually requires us to not only understand the principles in the book, but also think about how to apply what we have learned and eventually change ourselves.

The book I chose is "Micro Habits". After just one week of study, I received an urgent task assigned by the unit. As the specific person in charge, I started to go from morning to night. It is okay to use the early time to read and complete the homework, but it is OK to complete the mind map and 3,000-word trial writing.

Thinking about the work being so stressful, why don't you postpone it to the next issue? When I started to do my homework again and thought about how to learn, I changed my mind. I decided to practice the micro-habits on this mind map and trial writing, and overcome difficulties to complete the learning.

, and I decompose the secondary title and the third-level title of the mind map. First, I refine the secondary title, then refine the third-level title for each secondary title, and seize every spare time to think and refine.

very quickly, the mind map was completed in advance, and I decompose the 3,000-word trial writing, and start with the micro-target every day, write a little when you have time, and complete the task ahead of time again.

In the end, both mind map and trial writing were recommended, and I also became an "excellent student" of this training camp.

Teacher Hongdan said during the live broadcast that many people have read many books and signed up for many classes. They study hard every day, but they always can’t get the results they want because they did not bring real actions through learning.

This time, according to the homework tips, I not only understood the principles in the book, but also actively “put what I have learned” and achieved good results. After

, after reading to me, I will no longer read in isolation, no longer put the desk after reading. Instead, I will think, output, and practice after reading.

is written at the end:

Bill Gates repeatedly emphasized that "people always overestimate the changes in the next one to two years and underestimate the changes in the next ten years."

When I first joined the community, I saw many friends who gave manuscripts, monetize, live broadcasts, and speeches. I was particularly anxious and felt that I was useless, but I forgot that my original intention of coming to the community was to change and improve myself through reading.

others quickly achieved results, and maybe they had a better foundation, better methods, and more efforts. After slowly understanding the truth, I began to learn to pay attention to my present and my goals, take root in the community, absorb community culture, and temper the underlying abilities.

Changes on the iceberg are easy to make people shine, but changes under the iceberg are stable and lasting.I am very glad that I did not give up easily because my explicit grades were not as good as others. In fact, the underlying abilities I have learned here are helping me gain something in other aspects and meet myself at a higher level.
