Today is December 1. 85 years ago today, " Nanjing Defense War " broke out. In Nanjing, there is a group of researchers in the history of the Anti-Japanese War. They did not miss every detail. It took eight years to collect evidence of the Japanese army and record the details of the Anti-Japanese War. In order to let more people understand the history of the Nanjing Defense War, they made the collected evidence into a documentary and officially released it.

Guanghuamen was once one of the most intense places in the Battle of Nanjing. "Bloody Battle of Guanghuamen" is jointly produced by enthusiasts of the history of the folk anti-Japanese war and relevant experts and scholars. It is a documentary with relatively detailed records of the "Guanghuamen Battle" and a large number of cultural relics and historical materials. Lu Yanming, a contributor of the documentary "Blood Battle with Guanghuamen", a member of the Nanjing Massacre Research Association of the Japanese Invaders, and a lecturer at the School of Marxism of Changzhou University, introduced: "The Battle of Nanjing is a tragic battle. The spiritual qualities of all Chinese soldiers who are ready to die are reflected bit by bit from the entire process of the battle."

In addition to telling the whole story of the battle between Guanghuamen, the documentary discloses the mystery of the disappearance of the stone plaque of Guanghuamen. Some scholars once believed that the stone plaque of Guanghuamen was destroyed in the Battle of Nanjing. In 2014, Lu Yanming and another researcher, Tang Kai , keenly noticed a photo book from the 36th Japanese Infantry Regiment during the collection of cultural relics. The two words "Guanghua" that are highly consistent with the font of the Guanghua Gate plaque appeared in the photo book. An eight-year journey of truth-seeking began. Lu Yanming introduced: "The cover of the photo post contains the word Guanghua, and the two words are the font of Yu Youren ." In 1929, Mr. Yu Youren wrote a plaque for Guanghuamen. Through the font, they guessed that this was from the rubbing of the stone plaque of Guanghuamen.

Tang Kai, a contributor of the documentary "Blood Battle with Guanghuamen", a member of the Nanjing Massacre History Research Association of the Japanese Invaders, and a staff member of the Qixia District Local Chronicles Office of Nanjing City, told reporters: "At that time (2017), I also collected a picture album compiled by the 9th Division of Japan, which clearly contained the residual plaque of Guanghuamen at that time." Through this picture album, the fact that the stone plaque of Guanghuamen was not destroyed in the Nanjing Defense War was confirmed.

Lu Yanming took out the third key evidence found in 2022: "A series of briefings and photos of the New Asia Expo held in Japan, the plaque with the word Guanghua was placed on the ground, including the stone of the year inscribed by Yu Youren in 18 of the Republic of China, and placed in the middle of the word Guanghua. This clearly proves that the residual plaque was taken off the city wall. These three evidences form a chain of evidence, proving that the Guanghua Gate plaque was stolen by the Japanese army as spoils."

In order to collect these cultural relics and verify their authenticity, Lu Yanming and Tang Kai went to the United States, Japan, Russia and more than ten provinces and cities in China, and paid more than 100,000 yuan at their own expenses. In 2022, they began to contact the video team to present the historical materials and research results collected over the past eight years in the form of a documentary. Tang Kai said: "Whether from the perspective of my personal hobbies or to restore this historical level, I feel that I have a responsibility to continue the work I am currently in hand."

By not only pursuing the truth, but also spreading history. In the past eight years, they also jointly organized historical fact dissemination activities with several reading clubs in Nanjing to disseminate historical facts related to the Nanjing Defense War and the Nanjing Massacre, and held cultural relics and historical materials exhibitions. As a college teacher, Lu Yanming also encouraged students to join and continue to produce documentaries such as the Zijinshan Battle and the Tangma Battle. Lu Yanming said: "Because what we need to do is not simply move the things in the textbook to the screen, but to make discoveries. Through a series of documentaries, we can help more people understand history, think deeply about history, and finally create a vision of peace for our future."
