How to weld the wire rope?
wire rope is made of cold-drawn steel wire and cannot be welded. The high temperature during welding will change the metallographic structure of the wire rope, and the tensile strength of is sharply reduced. The wire rope is very easy to break, which will cause major accidents.
Commonly used wire rope varieties include phosphated coated wire rope, galvanized wire rope, stainless steel wire rope or plastic coated wire rope. Used in atmospheric environments, manganese-based phosphated steel wire ropes produced by patented technology have the longest service life. Manganese-based phosphated coating can greatly improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the surface of rope-made steel wire wires. The fatigue life of phosphated steel wire ropes is 3-4 times that of glossy steel wire ropes, up to 5 times. With the research on wear-resistant phosphating liquid, there is a possibility of further improvement. According to the current market price of phosphated-coated wire ropes, the average daily cost of phosphated-coated wire ropes is only about 30% of the glossy wire ropes. Phosphorused-coated wire ropes are upgraded products of glossy wire ropes, for reference only.
