Some time ago, this account shared the GDP overview of the top 4 cities in each province GDP and the strongest cities.
Guangdong's top four have created a total of 8.2 trillion GDP, ranking first in the country; but the total GDP of the bottom four is only 50 million, ranking 11th in the country, and is a typical top-heavy province. Sichuan is also the one with the same top-heavy and lightweight. Among the 24 provinces that comply with the rules, the sum of the top four in Sichuan ranks 7th in the country, and the sum of the bottom four in the country ranks 7th last.
Comparatively, Jiangsu Province ranked second in the country with the sum of the top 4, and the sum of the bottom 4 ranked first in the country. It is a province with very balanced development of prefecture-level cities, and is nicknamed "Top 13".
Today's data, we observe the national rankings of the top 4 and bottom 4 cities in each province from the perspective of permanent population.
When doing this ranking, it is necessary to filter out some provinces with relatively few prefecture-level administrative regions (hereinafter referred to as prefecture-level municipalities) (there are provinces with 8 prefecture-level administrative regions selected in this table). For example, Hainan Province has only 4 prefecture-level cities, and there is no meaning of participating in the comparison. In addition, Hainan, Hubei and Henan also have some county-level units directly under the jurisdiction of provinces. In this table, these county-level units are not included in the comparison.
Based on these two filter conditions, a total of 24 provinces were obtained, and the rankings of the sum of the top 4 cities in each province and the sum of the bottom 4 cities, as shown in the figure below. In the chart of
, the left side shows the rankings of the top 4 cities in each province, and the right side shows the rankings of the top 4 cities in each province. The positions of each province on the left and right are connected using curves.
In addition, the specific names of the top 4 cities in the left and right sides are marked respectively, and filled with different colors to indicate the population of the city. Dark green, light green, light blue, pink and purple represent cities with a permanent population of more than 10 million, 5 million to 10 million, 2 million to 5 million, 1 million to 2 million and below 1 million respectively.
The top four cities in Guangdong's permanent population are Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Foshan , with a total population of 56.2 million, ranking first in the country; the last four cities are Yangjiang , Chaozhou , Zhuhai and Yunfu , with a total population of 9.99 million, ranking seventh in the country.
Among the 24 provinces, from 1st to 7th, the permanent population of Guangdong cities is not considered to be top-notch.
Jiangsu top 4 Suzhou , Nanjing, Xuzhou and Nantong , with a total population of 38.87 million, ranking fifth in the country; the bottom 4 Yangzhou , Huai'an , Taizhou and Zhenjiang , with a total population of 16.84 million, ranking first in the country.
Among the 24 provinces, from 5th to 1st, the permanent population of Jiangsu cities is not considered to be too heavy.
Top 4 Chengdu in Sichuan, Dazhou , Nanchong and Mianyang , totaling 36.8 million, ranking 7th in the country; the top 4 Ya'an , Panzhihua, Ganzi and Aba , totaling 7th in the country.
There is a coincidence here: Sichuan ranks 7th in the country in terms of total GDP and permanent population, and the bottom four are also ranked 7th from the bottom in the country.
Among the 24 provinces, from 7th to 7th to 7th last, the population of Sichuan cities still has obvious top-heavy phenomenon.
The opposite is to the head and feet are light, and the head and feet are light. The population of Yunnan's top four cities ranks 16th among 24 provinces, but the bottom four ranks 4th in the country, which is a typical example of light head and heavy feet.
