When taking a bath, it is really a good time to keep your mind free. I often suddenly feel inspiration when taking a shower or suddenly realize some truth.
While taking a bath today, I suddenly realized: There may be gods in this world, otherwise this world would not be so magical. Look at the moon revolves around the earth every day, the earth and several other planets revolve around the sun, the sun moves in Milky Way , and the extra-river galaxy... This is the macroscopic, and the microscopic is also just as magical. Electrons revolve around the atomic nucleus. After learning quantum mechanics, you will find that the world is even more magical. There are Schrödinger's cats and quantum entanglements, which are extremely incredible.
So, is there a fate?
I think there is. But you cannot accept your fate because your fate is not a certain one, but a variety of them. It depends on how you choose. If you lie flat, it is a destiny. If you work hard, it is another destiny. If you work hard, it is another destiny. You cannot say which destiny must be good and which destiny must be bad. However, these destiny must be different. Generally, most people are lucky the harder they work harder.
So, is it useful for praying to gods?
I think it depends on the situation.
If you have to live a muddle of life, and the years are quiet, then praying is basically useless.
If you have done nothing less than anyone else's efforts and have tried your best, and you can only work hard to this extent, even if you put a gun on your head, then praying may be useful.
Gods cannot help you all the time, and gods will only appear in extremely rare situations. When you don’t work hard enough, the gods will only watch you coldly; when you do your best, they may move the gods and the gods may be willing to push you. In other words, if you need to achieve 100 points in one thing, only when you work hard to 99 points and you have no choice but to pray, the gods may come out to help you one point and fulfill you; if you only work hard for fifty or sixty, or seventy or eighty, it is useless for you to pray hard. If you want to be lazy, the gods are lazy than you, and the gods may only help those who are still a little bit successful after doing their best.
So, when you don’t work hard enough, it’s useless for your prayers. Ask yourself before every prayer, do I believe I will succeed? Have I tried my best? Just like what Wang Anshi said in " Traveling to Baochan Mountain ": Those who have fulfilled their ambitions but cannot reach them will have no regrets. After doing all your strength, after trying all the methods and after everyone asks for them, they still cannot succeed, so they can have no regrets. If you work hard, you will leave it to fate, that is just laziness.
Have you heard the story of two farmers praying for rain?
In two different places, two farmers encountered drought. They all went to pray to the gods for rain, but only one farmer was also ready to farm in the fields while praying. Which farmer do you think believes that the gods will rain? Who do you think the gods would be willing to rain in?
When you have not achieved success, don’t complain first, ask yourself first: Have you really done your best? Have you really used up all the power in your body? Have you really injected your soul into the product and have been working hard no less than anyone else?
Only by holding such a strong desire and exerting all your strength will the gods be willing to appear and will lend a helping hand to you.
