There are several Wutong trees in front of the window of the apartment building. These were things from the neighbor’s yard, but formally owned by me. Because they are at a reasonable distance from me, they seem to be specially planted for me to see. Their owner may be able to see their partial state more clearly than I can, but I am afraid he has never seen their overall appearance clearly. Because this can only be seen from a considerable distance. A poem from the Tang Dynasty goes: "Mountains appear distant when they are far away." I think the same is true for trees. Since early summer, these sycamore trees have appeared in front of me with heavy makeup and light makeup, showing various appearances.
When spring ends and summer begins, I see before my eyes the scene of Xintong colostrum. Those small yellow leaves are clustered on the bare branches, like a tree lantern, or like the cut-and-paste patterns of elementary school students, evenly arranged and childish. The leaves of plants also have various tricks: some metabolize and change green and yellow secretly from human eyes. Some are so subtle and so gradual that people don't notice that they change from bare branches to green leaves, only the leaves of the sycamore tree. The technique is the most clumsy, but the attitude is the most honest. Their branches are sparse and thick, and their leaves are flat and large. As the leaves grow, the whole tree changes appearance.
In summer, I saw the green leaves turning into shade again. Those leaves as big as a round fan grow densely in layers, leaving no gaps at all. They look like a big green barrier; they also look like a green mountain in a pattern painting. Among the common garden plants I see, apart from the plantain, the leaves are probably no bigger than the sycamore . Although the banana leaves are large in shape, they are not many in number. It takes several days for the lilac knot to unfold a leaf, and there are only a few leaves in the whole tree. Wutong leaves are not as big as it, but there are many in number. Those pig-ear-like things were hung one on top of another, from the low branches to the top of the tree. There were a few sycamore trees placed in front of the window. I felt that there was too much greenery. The ancients said, "Plantains grow green and covered with window screens." The view is too low. It is just what you see under the window in front of the steps. If you go up to the building and look out, Basho will fall in your eyes, and you should see "the parasol trees are divided into green and covered with window screens".
In the past month, I have seen the scene of falling leaves of the sycamore tree... I think of the ancient poem: "The wind blows away the leaves from the trees on the high mountains. After traveling thousands of miles, why should I return to the same place?" Now I am wandering around. It is impossible to collect all their fallen leaves and make them turn green together, restore their old branches, and restore their summer scenery. Even if we rely on the power of all the rulers in the world and exhaust the effectiveness of all the machines in the world!
