Long March 11 Yaojiu rocket officially departed from Haiyang at 7 o'clock in the morning yesterday and was transported to the Xichang Satellite Launch Base for launch missions. The
"Yaojiu" rocket is the first time that the Long March 11 solid carrier rocket has been assembled and tested in Haiyang, Yantai.
So far, only Yantai Haiyang is the only base that is capable of manufacturing and capable of launching. Other bases, Xichang and Jiuquan, are just for launching. The rockets are all delivered to the base for launch after the production is completed, while Yantai Haiyang After the final assembly is completed, the sea launch can be carried out directly in Shanghai. This process is the shortest and truly realizes the integration of production, manufacturing, and launch.
This assembly and testing is a milestone for the development of Yantai Haiyang Oriental Aerospace Port, laying a solid foundation for Haiyang to build the only solid rocket assembly testing base in the country that integrates production, manufacturing and launch.
Yantai Haiyang is actively planning the construction of the Oriental Aerospace Port Industrial Park, creating a marine launch home port, aerospace industry manufacturing park, aerospace industry supporting park, and aerospace application cultural tourism park.
