[Nuclear Policy] On the occasion of the Pentagon’s reorganization, the senator once again called for the policy of no first use of nuclear weapons

US Senator Ed Markey (Ed Markey) of Massachusetts sounded the alarm on November 11 about the continuing reorganization of the Pentagon leadership after US President Trump lost in the White House campaign. He once again called for a policy of no first use of nuclear weapons.

Markey is a powerful progressive person. He pointed out the reshuffle of the leadership and at the same time called for a policy of no first use of nuclear weapons. This is a problem he has been advocating for a long time.

"Trump's capricious and retaliatory behavior reminds us terribly that the President of the United States authorizes the use of US nuclear weapons without anyone's support. We need to develop a policy for our country not to be the first to use nuclear weapons.

After Esper stepped down, James Anderson, the top policy officer of the Pentagon, Joseph Conan, the top intelligence officer of the Intelligence Agency, and James Stewart, the chief of staff of Esper, all submitted their resignations.
