Why is China's JH-7 not sold? The performance is comparable to the Su-34, which will destroy the regional military balance

In the last century, the conventional weapons equipped by our army can basically be sold abroad. At that time, my country was extremely short of foreign exchange reserves, and the few foreign exchange reserves were used to purchase advanced technical equipment and industrial equipment from abroad. Because of this, from small to five or six submachine guns, to large J-7 fighter jets, foreign governments can package and transport them as long as they pay. However, there was a weapon at that time, but our country insisted that it would never sell it to foreign countries, even if the foreign country offered a high price, it did not waver. At first, some countries didn't understand it, but when everyone learned about the situation, many foreign media sighed that China is a responsible world power.

JH-7

This fighter is the JH-7 Flying Leopard fighter. At the end of the last century, the Chinese Navy and the Air Force jointly injected funds to start the design of the JH-7. However, because of the different design ideas from the Navy and Air Force, the Air Force eventually chose to withdraw midway and the Navy family invested in this fighter. The JH-7 is a heavy fighter with a tandem cockpit, divided into a pilot and a radar controller. At that time, the JH-7 was a world-class fighter. When carrying anti-tank missiles and rocket nests, JH-7 could easily cause very serious losses to the opponent's armor. At the same time, the JH-7 has a maximum range of 4,800 kilometers and a combat radius of about 1,650 kilometers, which is more than twice that of the H-5 bomber. It can mount several weapons including anti-ship missiles, rocket nests, cruise missiles, laser-guided bombs, air-to-air missiles, and has all-weather combat capabilities. After certain modifications, the JH-7 can also be mounted The electronic warfare pod has thus been transformed into an electronic warfare aircraft.

Compared with the A-10 and Su-25 attack aircraft, JH-7 uses a better engine and can be used "faster" "Fast in and out" tactics can enter the battlefield and drop bombs while the opponent's air defense forces/air force air dominance fighters are still hovering near the battlefield. If anti-radiation missiles are mounted, they can even be used directly for air defense suppression tasks. It has a maximum load of nine tons and can easily destroy most fixed targets. It can also be regarded as a "bomb truck." After dropping the bomb, the JH-7 still had a certain degree of self-defense ability, so that it would not be easily shot down by the opponent. At that time, many fighters were not as good as the JH-7 in air combat capability. Looking at it this way, the JH-7 fighter is not outdated even if it is placed now, it was a proper main ground fighter at the time. In many aspects, the JH-7 is similar to Russia's "Master Huadan" Su-34 fighter-bomber, but its cost is still low, so it has become the best choice for small countries.

Because JH-7 has the above combat capabilities, for some small countries, twelve JH-7s can change the relationship between the two countries. The comparison of air forces disrupts regional balance. Assuming that during the Iran-Iraq War (the JH-7 was not in service at the time), Iran could be equipped with the JH-7, then it would be impossible for Iraq to block Iran, and the cargo ships of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and other countries would also be more severely threatened. If this fighter is sold to Iraq, Iraq may even use this to launch another Iran-Iraq war. And after some modifications, JH-7 can also be used to mount tactical nuclear weapons and perform strike missions.

Just shortly after the JH7 entered service, it is said that Iran contacted my country to try to purchase this fighter heavily for anti-ship missions. At the same time, there are rumors that Argentina, Pakistan and other countries are also very interested in the JH-7. Regarding these purchase intentions, our country has not sold fighters to these countries. This is not a problem opposed by neighboring countries. The main reason is that my country does not want to see these countries use Chinese weapons to provoke wars. Weapons and equipment exported by China are generally used for self-defense. Export versions such as the J-7 basically do not have the ability to attack the ground. The JH-7 is an offensive equipment, even if the US exports offensive equipment, a lot of political conditions must be attached for effective control. Under the temptation of heavy money, China can still adhere to its original heart and defend the world peace order. This is something that some Western countries cannot do.

Compared with China, arms sales in other countries are typically "recognizing money only." Take the United States as an example. The US military has sold offensive weapons to other countries or regions several times to provoke local conflicts. During the Iran-Iraq War, the United States has also been trying to sell weapons and equipment to Iraq to encourage Iraq to deal with Iran. For such countries, in addition to making money, foreign arms sales also have a very strong political flavor. If the United States had not sold its weapons and equipment all over the world, the world would not have so many military conflicts.
