According to Reuters , a senior official of the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on the 25th that Russia’s "Iskander" tactical missile system and S-400 air defense system deployed in the country are ready and can perform scheduled tasks.
Leonid Kashinsky, director of the General Directorate of Ideological Work of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense, posted a video on the social platform Telegram, saying that Belarusian troops and aircrews have completed training at the joint combat training center of the armed forces of Russia and Belarus, and "Iskander" and S-400 are also fully prepared to perform combat missions.
Kaczynski also said that Belarusian military aircraft have been modified and can carry "special aviation ammunition."
It is reported that the "Iskander-M" missile system can carry conventional warheads or nuclear warheads , and its missile has a maximum range of 500 kilometers. The S-400 air defense system is a Russian mobile surface-to-air missile interception system that can intercept aircraft, UAVs and cruise missiles, and has terminal ballistic missile defense capabilities.
In June of this year, Russian President Putin announced that Russia would provide missile systems and air defense systems to Belarus. However, it is currently unclear how many "Iskander" systems capable of carrying nuclear weapons have been deployed in Belarus.
