On December 8, 2022, Director of OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) signed Amendment No. 10 of the Maintenance and Enhancement (S&E) Contract on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence and Managing Director of the EUROSAM GIE Consortium (Mrs. Eva Bruxmeier).

On December 8, 2022, Director OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) signed Amendment No. 10 of the Maintenance and Enhancement (SE) Contract on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defense and Managing Director of the EUROSAM GIE Consortium (Mrs. Eva Bruxmeier). Under the contract amendment, the UK has joined a multi-national partnership agreement between France and Italy to produce Aster Block 1, and the new contract is managed and implemented by MBDA through Eurosam.

This contract will supervise the upgrade of the Aster 30 missile to Aster 30 B1 British standard naval version within the framework of the UK's Aster 30 Million Million (MLU): including replacement of warheads, automatic flight control software development and logistics updates, while missile assembly work will be carried out in the Defence Munition Gosport (DMG) in the UK.
