Every time we look back at this war, many people will feel angry because this battle is not my heart, it is because we have raised an ungrateful wolf. It was both heartbreaking and annoying, and there was a hint of sadness...
Looking back at this war after many years, many people were discussing Vietnam's betrayal, and some people were saying that our army had suffered a great loss back then. However, these views are fragments of knowledge, and it is difficult to outline the complete background of that era.
In fact, if we really review everything that happened during those years, we would never regard the counterattack against Vietnam as a trivial matter. There is no doubt that it was a great war and a great story of nirvana.
The leaders who commanded this war then cut through the starry sky of history, and the soldiers who sacrificed for it should receive high respect.
Looking back at the history of New China, the success of our country has never been a coincidence. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, we encountered a war that we had to fight. The 17-Nation Alliance Army pointed directly at Yalu River . Facing the most powerful gang of countries in the world, should we surrender or fight?
comrade instructor (Chairman Mao) gave a clear reply: He hit his atomic bomb , I hit my grenade . In the end, the volunteer army joined the war, the miracle of Changjin Lake, the bloody battle in Sansouli, the battle of Shangganling , and finally we created a miracle, forcing the US army to roll south of 38th parallel .
However, this tragic war had just ended, and the neighbors in the south and the neighbors in the north attacked one after another.
1962, India pressed step by step, trying to plunder a large amount of our territory. National sovereignty cannot be lost. After failing to negotiate with multiple parties, Chairman Mao had no choice but to fight against it. Although we easily won and even played the legend of the Three Illusion Gods, our external situation did not ease at all.
Because in 1969, on Zhenbao Island, the Soviet Union used tank , armored vehicle , aircraft and secret weapons ice-burning bazooka to join the war. This was another suffocating behemoth. The two sides fought, and the Soviet Union even had millions of soldiers, trying to use nuclear to attack . That year we dug deep into the doomsday offensive.
However, against the background of such a suffocation, we have another three-year natural disaster.
Many people are not familiar with this history, but according to the estimates of the national conditions report published by the Academy of Social Sciences in 21989, many Chinese people died of insufficient nutrition. How terrible is this? What a difficult time?
What can we do in the face of this situation? The strong Chinese still have the same answer. When a friend comes, there is good wine. If the jackal comes, we have hunting rifle . We will never compromise.
Many older generations recalled that we are not afraid of the two extremes of the world's power, but these two hegemonies are still stirring up the storm in our country, making us both internal and external troubles, and every step is very difficult.
Not to mention the various ideological turmoils we are familiar with in history, just as the numbers record, starting from 1961, my country's agricultural light industry has declined to varying degrees, and even the country's fundamental heavy industry has experienced a great recession, and the country's vitality has been severely damaged.
It is in this context that a little brother who should not betray us the least has been betrayed. This little brother is Vietnam.
It is not an exaggeration to say that the relationship between the two countries has been said to have been since ancient times. Vietnam was our vassal state back then, and we defeated the French cabinet for it.
Later it wanted to be independent, General Chen Geng personally took charge of the silly Vietnamese army and commanded a bunch of silly Vietnamese troops to defeat France, allowing them to stand up to deal with the later Vietnam War .
At the same time, China drew a line that prevented American aircraft from crossing the line. In that extremely difficult era, China squeezed out the last bit of ration to support their War of Independence.
But in this way, Vietnam still chose to betray. If it was a struggle for politics, we could still discuss it carefully. But Vietnam betrayed completely. He regarded China as his imaginary enemy, persecuted overseas Chinese in large quantities, harassed our borders on a large scale, and killed and injured our border residents and border troops.
The result is naturally self-evident. For national security, the motherland has once again fought.
I have to mention here, because due to the influence of the turbulent period, there are still many scars in the motherland that have not yet healed. Many scholars believe that in terms of military thought, we may no longer be as good as Vietnam's former younger brother. Moreover, people in China were still a little uneasy at that time, which would affect our army's combat capabilities.
However, even though it was scarred, Comrade Deng Xiaoping still made a great decision: "Children are disobedient, it's time to spank." On the one hand, we formally established diplomatic relations with the United States, the largest capitalist country in the world, and on the other hand, we launched a thunderous action.
This battle is a battle to unite people's hearts. This battle is a battle to play a triumphant song for reform and opening up . This battle is also a battle of real peace. The motherland has shed too much blood, and we must create a true peace and future.
Just like that, the battle started. It should be said that we paid a heavy price in the early battles. Vietnam's madness was beyond our imagination, and our hands were indeed unfamiliar.
But whether it is the commander or the soldiers participating in the war, they still have the willpower to fight against the Americans, so even though we have not yet returned to our best condition, we have still achieved our set goals.
Soon, we not only captured Liang Lang Son, but also won major cities in the northern Vietnam region. Next, South is flat, and China's Armored Forces will move forward.
However, Comrade Deng Xiaoping later stopped the war in time and completed the withdrawal of troops. It is also this battle that the north and the south are stable, and Sino-US relations continue to deepen, and reform and opening up ushered in a miracle.
However, we still paid a great price in this last battle. A total of more than 8,500 PLA soldiers died heroically, and they fell the night before peace and prosperity.
Each of these PLA soldiers is a legend, a warrior who has tried his best to cleanse the darkness with his last breath. What is even more admirable is that among these wars, there are 10 other sons of the army leader.
They are Pu Shiping, Zhang Li, Geng Jun (Geng Xiaokang ), Zhou Wei, Qu Ningjiang, Luo Yuening, Cao Hui, Jiang Luping, Zhao Youlin, and Peng Hong.
Pu Shiping's father was Pu Yunhai. After joining the army, he became a soldier of a certain regiment of Chengdu Military Region . Later, he became the commander of the reconnaissance company of the 112th Division through his efforts.
In self-defense counterattack , he led his troops deep into the enemy territory, and during this period he was surrounded by the enemy. In order to protect the soldiers, he chose to cut off the rear and then sacrificed heroically. Moreover, after the Vietnamese killed him, they burned his body, which was cruel.
Zhang Li is the son of Zhang Zhixin, the commander of the 106th Division of the 54th Division of the People's Liberation Army. After joining the army, he became a scout. In the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, he volunteered to act as a pre-military force, but was shot in the waist and died.
Geng Jun and Geng Xiaokang, these are two brothers, and their father is Geng Jinfu, deputy chief of staff of the 150th Division of the 50th Army. After joining the army, the two were divided into the same unit and participated in the battle at the same time. The two brothers were surrounded by the enemy in the Gaoping area. They fought bloody battles with their comrades for two days and nights, and both brothers were killed bravely.
Zhou Wei's father was the political commissar of the 121st Division of the 41st Army of the People's Liberation Army. He secretly ran to other troops to serve in the army without telling his father. He also participated in the war that year. He unfortunately sacrificed heroically to protect his comrades during the battle.
Qu Ningjiang's father was Qu Kui, the chief of staff of the 41st Army. He was ambushed by the enemy that year, but he still fought back tenaciously, and suffered multiple traumas and suffered excessive blood loss.
Luo Yuening's father also has an extraordinary origin. He is Luo Rong, deputy chief of staff of the Guangzhou Military Region, who was shot by the enemy in a row on the battlefield and died bravely.
As the son of old party member Cao Conglian, Cao Hui also encountered an ambush from the enemy that year. He opened the way for the tank at a critical moment, but was swept by a machine gun. His father watched him fall and died bravely.
Jiang Luping, as the son of Major General Jiang Xieyuan, asked his father for privileges only to go to Vietnam to participate in the war. During the battle, he was hit by the enemy's waist and abdomen, but he still ran back to the army to report the enemy's position, but he also died of excessive blood loss.
Zhao Youlin is the son of Zhao Likuan, political commissar of the logistics department of Guangzhou Military Region. In the bloody battle, he braved the artillery fire to guide everyone, but was hit in the abdomen by stray bullet and died bravely. Finally, Peng Hong, who was the son of the deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region Air Force, was hit by the enemy during the reconnaissance and died heroically.
Now, the world is peaceful and the people are rich. But no one should forget that the teenagers who participated in the war back then...
They kept peace for us and ended those battles one after another; but they fell on the last night before the end of their suffering. We should not forget their past, let alone the disasters experienced by motherland, because they were all exchanged for their blood.
