The 41st Detachment successively undertakes the construction tasks of the Panxian Mining Area in Guizhou and the Tiefa Mining Area in Liaoning. Five mines are built in the Panxian mining area of ​​Guizhou, including Yueliangtian Coal Mine, Laowuji Coal Mine, Huohaopu Coal Mine, Tucheng Coal Mine and Datianba Coal Mine, with an annual design capacity of 4.2 million tons of raw coal; three mines are completed and handed over to be produced, with an annual design capacity of 2.7 million tons of raw coal. On March 10, 1978, the State Council and the Central Military Commission Guofa (1978) No. 35 approved the establishment of the 44th Detachment of the Infrastructure Engineering Corps, with four brigades under their jurisdiction to undertake the task of basic coal construction. The Infrastructure Engineering Corps, the Ministry of Coal and the Jilin Provincial Party Committee attach great importance to the establishment of the 44th Detachment.
