20th century China, for a long time, wars were flying, and both in the sky and under, were full of smoke. The land of China, which was originally beautiful, became devastated. When we looked up, there were no blue sky and white clouds, and only thick smoke was left.
Old Photos of the Yangtze River
At the critical moment, Kurishonko gave up the idea of parachuting and self-protection, drove the injured fighter plane over Wanxian, preparing to make an emergency landing in the center of the Yangtze River. Only in this way can the losses be minimized.
Everything went as planned. With the power of river drifting, Kurishenko finally saved the life of the fighter plane. In an emergency, he encouraged his comrades to swim quickly to the shore.
But he himself was hit by several bullets and had no strength to struggle. In the end, due to excessive blood loss and lack of physical strength, he was swallowed by the surging river water and disappeared into the waves...
So, the distant flying eagle from the Soviet Union sacrificed his life to save the Chinese nation, and from then on he covered his name and became an unknown hero in China.
It was not until many years of sacrifice that Curishenko's daughter realized that her father was a hero of China. No matter where the hero comes from, how much did Curishenko, a fighter from other countries, pay for China?
Soviet soldiers support Chinese Air Force
1929, the occurrence of Middle East Road incident caused the extreme deterioration of Sino-Soviet relations. Japan took the opportunity to initiate the September 18th Incident . For a time, mountains and rivers were turbulent and the country was in danger. After
quickly occupied three northeastern provinces, Japan established the puppet Manchukuo, and relied on the powerful Kanto army, frequently appeared in the border area between China and the Soviet Union. A series of actions aroused the vigilance of the neighboring Soviet Union.
Considering the long-term stability of the country, Sino-Soviet relations began to ease, and diplomacy resumed on December 12, 1932, preparing to unite against the enemy and fight against the enemy together.
After all, if Japan's ambitions in China are not stopped in time, it will also be a great harm to the Soviet Union. In view of this, the Soviet leaders put aid to China to fight against Japan on the agenda.
Before this, China suffered a crushing defeat in the Sino-Japanese confrontation. The huge gap between economy and military made China retreat step by step. The situation is not optimistic because Britain and the United States adopted an appeasement policy towards Japan.
Chinese Air Force during the War of Resistance Against Japan
Under this circumstance, China urgently needs strong allies to overcome difficulties. Otherwise, it will be at a disadvantage and will never be able to turn around.
You should know that in the three months since China and Japan started war, the Chinese Air Force has been struggling to resist against powerful Japanese enemy planes, but because the gap in strength is too large, it is tantamount to hitting a stone with an egg. There is very little left in the stock of
aircraft. Most of the Air Force soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country are less than 30 years old. When all the ace pilots and trainers died in battle, the Air Force cadets who had never controlled the handles personally stepped onto the battlefield.
However, the brave death of countless pilots did not ease the tension of the war. According to records, from August to November 1937, there were only more than 80 aircraft left in my country in the original 300 aircraft.
But even so, facing the continuous bombardment of Japanese aircraft in the air, China could only helplessly. So in the Sino-Soviet Non-aggression Treaty signed by the two sides later, China proposed that it hoped that friendly forces could send fighter jets and pilots to support China's anti-Japanese war.
In view of this, the Soviet Union decided to provide China with three loans, totaling 250 million yuan, and provide advanced aircraft and artillery at an extremely low price, and then send military advisers and aviation support troops to China. Currishenko is one of them.
In May 1939, Curishhenko and other Soviet soldiers came to China. Before leaving, Curishhenko had received the top secret order that they would carry out a top secret support plan on behalf of the Soviet Union.
Soviet soldiers put on Chinese military uniforms together, said goodbye to their families, and joined the plan to aid China in anti-Japanese war. With their joining, China, together with the Soviet Air Force, attacked the Japanese army's arrogance.
Kurishonko
At the same time, Kurishonko also worked hard to train Chinese pilots, explain flight subjects and aircraft operations to them, and took the students to fly in person.
After the training every day, the students will be taken to summarize the experience and lessons. As a helper, Curishenko did not forget to remind the pilots to cherish all fighter jets, otherwise, damage one more will increase the enemy's arrogance. The reason why
is so dedicated to helping Chinese pilots is because after Curishenko came to China, he saw the scene of the elderly, children and women being murdered by the Japanese army without any power.
What he didn't understand was why the same flesh-and-blood warriors treat the unarmed people so harshly. Whenever he saw these, Kurishenko would make up his mind to make the Japanese soldiers pay the price.
Soviet air force and fighter jets
Japanese air force was hit hard
11939 On October 3, 2019, Kurishenko was preparing to lead a bomber brigade to fly to the front line of the war to compete with the Japanese army. He set out from Chengdu Taipingsi Airport with the goal of flying above Hankou to bomb the Japanese airport.
In this battle, the Soviet Air Force continued to go north along the line. During the advance, the Japanese army set up countless air defense guards, but Kurishenko and others escaped safely with their superb skills.
Then they arrived at the altitude of Hankou Airport 7,000 meters according to the planned time point. Kurishenko made a judgment based on the situation on the ground at that time and launched a fierce attack on the enemy.
By the time the Japanese army reacted, more than 60 heavy bombers, several ammunition depots, and the oil depots had been destroyed. The number of deaths and injuries reached more than 400

This was a great victory for the Chinese army. The results of the victory spread throughout the motherland with the return of Kurishenko, and the whole country was excited.
In the following days, Curishenko continued to work hard and led the bombing brigade to eliminate more than 130 Japanese fighter jets. He was once a god and was called " Aerial Tiger ".
Time comes to the early morning of October 14, 1939. Curishenko is preparing to bomb Hankou again. For this operation, he is determined to win. Before leaving, he promised his comrades that he would win triumphantly as soon as possible.
In the later Chinese and Japanese Air Force history research books, some historical materials also show that this air strike was the biggest blow the Japanese Air Force suffered after entering Chinese territory, and the Japanese army was defeated.

General Kurishenko died
At that time, Kurishenko led the Soviet Air Brigade to appear over Wuhan at noon, and immediately arranged troops based on the terrain.
Then, with Curishenko's orders, a rain of bombs fell over Wuhan, and bombs seemed to have eyes, accurately aiming at Japanese military targets.
In this battle, the Japanese army was defeated. More than 100 bombers and fighter were damaged, and countless people were killed and injured.
Seeing that the situation was so critical, the Japanese army suppressed their anger and immediately transferred three flight brigades from nearby to fight back. So, the American fighter jets built by Germany began to frantically encircle and intercept the flight brigade led by Curishenko.
For a moment, Kurishenko's upper, middle and lower parts were surrounded by the Japanese Air Force, and they were facing bombs like storms.
When all the players were at a loss, Curishenko still maintained his calm mind and wanted to fight the opponent quickly by flying the fighter plane.
However, just as Curry was deeply concentrating his energy and commanding his subordinates to shoot down one of the Japanese fighter jets, his chest and left shoulder were shot into bullets respectively.
Suddenly, blood oozed out of Curishenko's chest and shoulders, and his entire suit was dyed red, but there was no time to take care of so much, and he had to persevere.
Because just as Curryshenko was injured, the left side of the engine was also hit by the Japanese army. Suddenly, the fighter jets lost their balance and became shaking in the air.
Soviet Air Force personnel aiding China
At this time, the deputy captain Makarov seemed very anxious. He didn't know what to do in this situation, so he frequently asked Curishenko.
Experienced Curishonko continued to endure the pain and comfort his comrades: "Don't worry, I have a way. At present, we must concentrate and not be disturbed by the external environment."
said it quickly, and Curishonko was not paying attention and took the opportunity to rush to the enemy plane on the left, trying to die with the Japanese army, but just when he was about to run into it, he quickly adjusted his direction and passed by the other party.
The enemy was stunned and not yet able to react to what happened. Curryshenko had led his team members out of the siege and got the opportunity to survive in the cracks.
The fighter plane next to him also adopted the same breakthrough method under the leadership of Kurishenko, and finally flew over the safer Wanxian for the rest of his life.

But at this moment, the gasoline on the plane has been exhausted. Even if the enemy has not chased, the situation has not eased at all. There is a possibility of losing the center of gravity and falling down at any time.
Fortunately, there were tidal flats with deep soil on both sides of the Yangtze River at that time. If you parachuted, you still have the possibility of escape. However, in this way, the plane would definitely burn on its own while hitting the ground.
Taking this into account, Kurishenko decided to adjust the landing direction and choose to make an emergency landing on the surface of the Yangtze River, so that a complete fighter can be saved.
Only in this way can the losses of the Chinese Air Force be minimized. After the decision was made, Curishenko immediately landed in the fighter jet to the middle of the river.
Because the entire plane landed in the direction of the water flow, there was no burning phenomenon, and it did not sink into the river, and no one was even injured.

landed, Kurishonko immediately ordered all comrades to leave the fuselage and swim ashore, while he marked the fighter jet to avoid inconvenience in salvage in the future.
As for himself, he left the fighter plane after both of his comrades came ashore safely, but Curishenko was really injured too seriously, and after flying the plane for so long, he no longer had the strength to swim to the shore.
At the beginning, he swam forward with difficulty while allowing the blood on his body to dye the river red. But gradually, Kurishenko seemed to have felt the call of death and was swallowed by the waves.
Later, the government took several salvage actions and finally seized the body of Soviet pilot Kurishenko in Maoertuo on November 6.
martyrs' bodies salvage
On November 9, the Wanxian Government held a grand memorial service for Kurishenko, a hero from a foreign country. People from all walks of life and thousands of ordinary people came to mourn.
However, the government did not announce the name of Kurishenko, but only carved a few eye-catching big words on his tombstone - The tomb of the ancient captain , and this hero is also affectionately called by the Chinese people.
In the subsequent funeral, many people rushed to carry the coffin for General Gu. Among them, the 70-year-old man named Liu Haitian .
The daughter learned of her father's true identity
Time came to August 1955. At that time, a 21-year-old boy named Zhu Yuli graduated from Beijing Foreign Language College and went to study in the Soviet Union with excellent results.
Zhu Yuli
He studied machine tools major. At that time, he just wanted to return to China to make contributions after completing his studies in the Soviet Union as soon as possible.
Because he is kind and is good at dealing with people, he made many foreign friends from the Soviet Union after he arrived in Moscow. One of them was a girl named Ina Grigorievna Kurishenko , which made Zhu Yuli curious.
It’s not because the girl has a delicate appearance and a slim figure, but mainly because of her Curishenko’s surname, which reminds Zhu Yuli of the heroic stories she had heard since childhood.
The more Zhu Yuli thought about it, the more curious Zhu Yuli became. Until one day, when he was chatting with Ina, he finally couldn't help but feel confused and asked the other party whether he had family or relatives at home as pilots.
When I heard this question from a Chinese classmate, Ina became excited instantly. She didn't expect that after so many years, someone would ask about Curishenko, and she was a Chinese, so she answered:
"If you are talking about Curishenko, then that's true. My father used to be an excellent pilot, but after he went to China, he never came back."
Zhu Yuli was surprised when he heard his classmate's answer. He never expected that the protagonist of the Soviet hero story that he never got tired of listening to was the father of his classmate.
Then Ina also said that when she was three years old, her father left the Soviet Union. At that time, her mother told her that her father had never been able to go home because of her busy work.
Kurishonko and his wife
It was not until Ina was 18 that her mother told the truth. It turned out that her father had already died on the battlefield in China. Although her mother knew that her father had made sacrifices for the cause of peace for mankind, she still could not relieve her longing for her husband.
Before, whenever his father Kurishenko sent a letter to his home, he would promise that he would return safely and ask his wife to take good care of his daughter Ina.
But at the end, I only waited for a letter of death. I didn’t know any other information. Even after so many years, my husband still had no news. Even if his wife wanted to go to pay tribute, she could only imagine it.
Kurishenko
After listening to the story of classmate Ina, Zhu Yuli was shocked, and at the same time, he was very glad that he could hear different stories and experiences from the mouth of his heroic daughter.
So, when Ina said that she wanted to go to China to pay tribute to her father, Zhu Yuli immediately expressed her willingness to make the best efforts to help her achieve this wish.
So afterwards, Zhu Yuli sorted out the causes and consequences of the matter and reported to the Chinese Embassy. Soon, the central leaders made the final decision.
Considering that the burial of Kurishenko was too hasty during the war, it is now decided to instruct the Wanxian Government of Sichuan Province to renovate the Kurishenko's tomb.
In July 1958, the government built the cemetery of Kurishenko and expanded it into a solemn and melodious cemetery. At the same time, a grand funeral relocation ceremony was held.
Liu Tianhai, who once carried the coffin for Curishenko, took over this honor again and was able to say goodbye to General Gu again. That year he was 89 years old.
In addition, on the eve of National Day in 1958, Chinese Red Cross specially sent an invitation to Ina and her daughter on behalf of the Chinese government, hoping that they could come to China to reunite with their relatives and travel in China for a while.
Ina and her daughter were very excited when they received such an invitation. After so many years, they finally had the opportunity to talk to their closest relatives.
Both of them were full of expectations for their experience of going to China. When they came to Beijing, they felt the enthusiasm and intimacy of the Chinese people.
At the Beijing National Day reception , Zhou Enlai Prime Minister was very grateful to Ina and her daughter. While expressing her apology, she also solemnly promised the mother and daughter that the Chinese people will never forget Kurishenko, a hero from the Soviet Union.
Premier Zhou
On October 1, 1958, Ina followed her mother to 50 County Xishan Park . This was the first time she had been so close to her father after she was three years old.
Facing my father's cemetery, my mother stood in front of her husband's grave and burst into tears. She fainted several times. Thousands of days and nights of the past were filled with thoughts, but now when she is so close, she finds that this thought has really become forever.
However, since then, the mother and daughter have no complaints about Curishenko, but only have a sense of endless pride. They said that Curishenko has sacrificed his life for China's peace cause and everyone is proud of him.
And after the war, the living standards of the Chinese people were thriving, and the cause that had sacrificed countless revolutionary martyrs was becoming more and more successful. Curryshenko would definitely be very pleased.
Kurishon's wife and daughter
Conclusion
years are fleeting, but the heroic soul is forever, and the stability of today is hard-won. All the beauty is exchanged for the hot bodies of countless heroes and martyrs like Curishonko.
They used their own flesh and blood to build a barrier to our lives, so that the Chinese people have the opportunity to live and work in peace and contentment, and no longer have to be displaced and not be fed without food or clothing.
In a peaceful and peaceful society, the sun is bright and the hearts of the people are bright. There is no need for the whole nation to be soldier, and blood is shed. However, keeping history in mind and playing the role of each person as a screw is our new mission.
Some things are gone, but some things cannot be passed by no means. Those glorious years and humiliating history should be engraved in the heart, and we should not forget to be prepared for danger in times of peace. While remembering the heroes and martyrs, we should also be grateful with practical actions.
