The U.S. Department of Defense will invest US$197 million in advanced microelectronics technology. This batch of funds will be invested in two projects: "Rapid Assured Microelectronics Prototypes (RAMP)" and "State- of-the-Art Heterogeneous Integration Prototype, SHIP)" project.
Orbital Sidekick Company has won the US$16 million "Strategic Financing (STRATFI)" project contract from AFVentures, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the commercial investment arm of the US Air Force. The Air Force deploys six advanced super-wide-spectrum imaging satellites and integrates its "Spectral Intelligence Global Monitoring Application (SIGMA)" into the US Air Force's "Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS)."

The U.S. Security Agency (NSA) "Cryptologic Hall of Honor" adds five new members, namely: George Kott, who was the founding director of the National Computer Security Center (National Computer Security Center) Cotter); Dr. Whitfield Diffie (Dr. Whitfield Diffie), who is dedicated to the research of computer security theory and practice in colleges and private laboratories; Dr. David Kahn, a pioneer in the history of cryptography; Barbara McNamara (Barbara McNamara) who promoted the production of intelligence on key targets in the mid to late Cold War; Lester Myers (Lester Myers) with excellent language skills and deep regional knowledge.
