However, Ying Guixin took advantage of the second revolution and successfully escaped after three months of imprisonment. He later fled to Beijing and asked Yuan Shikai to seal him off. As soon as Song Jiaoren was assassinated, Hong Shuzu went to the German concession in Qingdao. In May 1913, he was arrested by the Germans.
