The Russian-Ukrainian conflict has been developing for eight months now. The stalemate between the two sides has caused general concerns in the international community. If it is allowed to develop, the possibility of conflict spillover will continue to increase. Because the composition of people involved in the conflict is becoming more and more complex, I roughly divided the specific aspects.
Category 1: mercenaries from other countries
Category 2: volunteer soldiers from other countries
Category 3: Regular troops from both Russia and Ukraine
Category 4: Active-duty

Category 1: mercenaries from other countries
To put it bluntly, it is just to use money to do things. The disadvantages are also very obvious. They say that if they don’t fight, they won’t fight, and it’s hard to control them.
According to a 25-year-old young man from the UK, he and other foreign mercenaries were arranged to be in an military base when they first arrived in Ukraine. After several days of assault training, they would be sent to the front line. Before this, they also need to sign a mercenary contract provided by the Ukrainian side. It stipulates that their monthly salary is about $230. Moreover, the nature of the contract is almost indefinitely. He was driven out of the barracks for refusing to sign, but some people were not as sober as Pridy.
So, these newcomers were treated as cannon fodder by the Ukrainian government before they could figure it out. Some people died in this conflict; some were captured by Russian troops, but the worst thing was that they could not enjoy the treatment of prisoners of war. In other words, the captured mercenaries will face Russian prosecution, and later several mercenaries were even sentenced to death.
Even so, there are still mercenaries coming from all over the world. These people are from the United States, Britain, Germany, Polish , and Georgian .
After all, money can make the devil push the mill.

Category 2: Volunteer soldiers from other countries
The so-called volunteer soldiers, my understanding is the people who participate in battles in other countries according to their personal wishes.
Here we have to mention the volunteer army from Syria . Why would anyone in Syria volunteer to participate in the Russian fight with Ukraine? This may be related to Russia's helping Syrian government forces crack down on non-governmental armed forces, terrorists, and other foreign forces.
According to relevant reports, several commanders of Syria's "paramilitary force" said that Syria has sent hundreds of soldiers with rich combat experience to intervene in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and has also made many military achievements. This matter has also been confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Russian Ministry of Defense said that more than 16,000 "volunteers" from the Middle East will help the people in the Donbass region defend their homes.

Category 3: Regular troops from Russia and Ukraine
This category is easy to understand, it represents the governments of both sides, soldiers, militias and other personnel with legal status, fighting for their own country. I won't go into details here.

Category 4: Active
in the guise of mercenaries is difficult to judge, and I am afraid no country is willing to admit it.
Some countries, thousands of people, transported to Ukraine, are really "wolf in sheep's clothing".
