Recently, my peacekeeping engineer team went to South Sudan to successfully complete the construction of safety and defense facilities at the Avil base and successfully returned to the main business area of the Wawu base.
In order to improve the construction level of security and defense facilities at the Avil base, at the request of the Avil base of the United South Su Regiment, our peacekeeping engineering team combined with the previous experience in the main supply line road construction, established a special construction team for engineering tasks to Avila to perform diversified graphic engineering construction tasks.
Over the past three months, the officers and soldiers have overcome difficulties such as harsh environmental conditions, serious road damage, and high operating intensity. They have used 700 construction machinery and vehicles of various types, transported more than 6,000 square meters of earth and stone, set up 800 meters of multi-layer snake-belt wire mesh, and planted 400 pole piles, successfully completed the construction of the base airport emergency apron, the leveling and maintenance of roads around the base, and assisted foreign military units in the renovation of the base safety and defense facilities. In addition, two material donations and condolences to local schools were carried out, which won unanimous recognition and high praise from base leaders, foreign military units, local governments and people.
