Tesla CEO Musk is undoubtedly the latter.
According to Global Network, Musk said in an interview with British media that conflicts in the Taiwan Strait are inevitable. In this case, the loss of the world economy may be 30% of GDP. It is recommended that Taiwan become a "special administrative region" of China to avoid conflicts. Musk believes that although his ideas may not be accepted by everyone, arrangements can be made more freely than Hong Kong.
Of course, Taiwan issue is China's internal affairs, and Musk is not qualified to make relevant suggestions. At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spokesperson Mao Ning first pointed it out in a vague way. Regarding Musk's suggestions, Mao Ning said that in resolving the Taiwan issue, China has always been clear about its position and will continue to adhere to the basic policy of "peaceful reunification and , one country, two systems" to achieve peaceful reunification across the Taiwan Strait. China will resolutely crush and contain the "Taiwan independence" separatist plots and external interference forces to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity. In other words, no matter what Musk said, China will deal with issues related to Taiwan affairs in accordance with its original policies and routes.
In fact, when handling Taiwan affairs, the mainland has always been focusing on the tone of peaceful reunification, and the basic policy of "one country, two systems" has long been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The current situation in Hong Kong and Macao has actually demonstrated the effect of implementation. The problem is that the "Taiwan independence" forces on the island do not recognize it, and insist on colluding with external forces to "seek independence" and provoke. At the same time, they also vigorously incite cross-strait confrontation on the island, and declare political slogans such as "one China and one Taiwan", which can be said to be ineffective.
After Musk's remarks were spread to Taiwan, he also enjoyed almost the same treatment. In the face of the general trend of cross-strait reunification, a few "Taiwan independence elements" cannot make any waves at all, and attempting to use external forces to "seek independence" is even more nonsense. Most countries in the world recognize the one-China principle and support China's position. Even the United States will not openly violate it. It supports Taiwan openly and secretly, but it is just treating Taiwan as a pawn to "contain" China's development and can give up at any time if necessary. The DPP authorities, who are addicted to the fantasy of "independence" and cannot extricate themselves regard the United States as a "reliance", are simply a big deal of the world. As China's national strength continues to rise, cross-strait reunification will become a natural thing, and no one can stop it. A few people who resist the general trend will inevitably suffer from historical liquidation.
