F-22 and B-2 have long been regarded as masterpieces of the world's leading U.S. military technology. Some American experts even believe that if these two models jointly attack , even China's air defense system will be vulnerable. Is this really the case?
The technical strength of the United States
The F-22 and B-2 are two stealth military aircraft currently in service in the United States. The former is the fighter , responsible for fighting for air supremacy, and the latter is the strategic bomber , responsible for projecting large-yield weapons over long distances, including nuke . What they have in common is the excellent stealth design .
F-22’s shell adopts low-visibility stealth coating , which can greatly reduce the fuselage radar reflection area. Moreover, on the basis of stealth, it still maintains excellent air mobility, with a maximum speed exceeding Mach 2.2. In addition, with the beyond-visual-range strike capability of the AIM120 air-to-air missile, the F-22 can simultaneously launch locked strikes against six targets 150 kilometers away. The theoretical exchange ratio with ordinary fourth-generation aircraft remains above 15:0.
If stealth fighters can be compared with the fifth-generation aircraft and of China and Russia, then the B-2, as the only stealth strategic bomber in the world today, has a unique status. The shape of B-2 is a sci-fi triangular flying wing structure. The whole body is coated with a special graphite composite paint, which not only absorbs high-frequency radar waves, but also absorbs infrared detection rays, making the stealth the ultimate .
Moreover, the B-2 has an extremely long range, up to 18,000 kilometers. In theory, it can strike anywhere in the world as long as it sets off from the United States. In 2001, the US military B-2 crossed a distance of 35,000 kilometers to attack terrorists in Afghanistan, verifying its amazing long-distance delivery capability.
It can be said that the F-22 and B-2 are both the best crystallization of the United States' current military technology and a symbol of the United States' global technological leadership. However, if these two advanced models want to forcefully break through China's air defense system, they are still somewhat overestimating their capabilities. After all, China now is not at the same level as China 30 years ago.
China's "Fire Eyes"
Since the biggest technical advantage of the F-22 and B-2 is "stealth", does the Chinese air defense system have a way to crack this advantage? The answer is yes. China Electronics Technology Group chief expert Wu Jianqi After years of arduous technical research, he has developed the nemesis of stealth technology : meter-wave sparse array synthetic radar, and its supporting anti-stealth AI algorithm.
Generally speaking, the biggest technical means for stealth fighters is to significantly reduce their own radar reflection area. For example, the F-22 has a total radar reflection area of only 0.0002 square meters, which is an extremely small number. But this does not mean that the reflected signal of the stealth fighter has really disappeared. As long as the radar is precise enough and can capture the smallest electromagnetic changes in a certain airspace, then the stealth fighter will also show its flaws.
Wu Jianqi's meter-wave synthetic radar is such an advanced anti-hidden weapon . Among them, the latest model JY-26 meter-wave anti-hidden radar has the best effect. Its radar wave frequency is far higher than that of ordinary radar, and its power is also one level higher. When detecting designated airspace, it can capture every subtle change.
Moreover, this radar is also equipped with the anti-stealth AI algorithm , which can intelligently analyze data and amplify the weak signals reflected by stealth fighters. Under double detection, even airborne ghosts like F-22 and B-2 cannot escape the JY-26's "fiery eyes".
And the performance of the JY-26 meter wave synthetic radar is quite sufficient . With the help of a very large active phased array, it can track up to 500 air targets at the same time. It is undoubtedly ridiculous to use a large fleet of aircraft to create a "fish that slips through the net" strategy in front of the JY-26.
China's air defense force
Being able to see stealth fighters is just the beginning. China's air defense force not only needs to be "visible", but also "tangible." In this regard, the land-based air defense missile system "Red Flag-9" can fully shoulder this important task. In fact, when the Hongqi-9 debuted, there were many voices of doubt from the outside world: Is China's Hongqi-9 a replica of the Russian "Sam-12 Gladiator"?
But Hongqi-9 quickly responded to these doubts with strength. In 2007, the Turkish military held an air defense system bidding. China's Hongqi-9 and American and Russian air defense missiles both participated in the bidding, and a target shooting competition was also held under the supervision of the Turkish military.
Hongqi-9 can theoretically attack all air targets within a range of 125 kilometers, so Chinese technicians are full of confidence during target practice. The final result also proved China's confidence in the Hongqi-9: Not only did the Hongqi-9 hit nine out of nine shots, but two missiles hit the same target one after another, creating a double combo.
The American "Patriot" missile had one miss and two misses, and the Russian "SAM" missile had an embarrassing result of three misses. Through this international public competition, there is no longer any doubt about the air defense performance of Hongqi-9, and it has become the world's recognized top air defense system.
With the close cooperation of the JY-26 meter wave synthetic radar and the Hongqi-9 air defense system, China's airspace is the safest airspace in the world. At present, China has deployed a large number of Hongqi-9 air defense systems on islands and reefs in the South China Sea, which has effectively deterred small surrounding countries.
Interestingly, after a large number of Hongqi-9s were stationed in the South China Sea, the US fighter jets that had conducted many "fuzzy flights" near the South China Sea and were eager to fly at the borders of China's airspace basically disappeared and showed no signs of activity anymore. To a certain extent, this is also the U.S. Air Force's self-awareness of itself - if the F-22 and B-2 forcefully launch an attack on China's airspace, I am afraid that what awaits them will only be the ending of and no return.
