Regrettable things

In order to retrieve the body of martyr Huang Jiguang who died on the front line, Wang Qingzhen acted together with two other female health workers, Guan Yizhi and He Chengjun, and a volunteer soldier, crawling forward in the hail of bullets, and finally carried back Huang Jiguang's body. Since it had been some time since Huang Jiguang's death, his body was obviously stiff, and his arms still maintained the high posture of rushing towards the bunker.

Even though Wang Qingzhen has seen too much cruelty on the battlefield, she couldn't help but shed tears when she saw Huang Jiguang's body.

In order to restore the body of martyr Huang Jiguang to a normal posture, Wang Qingzhen dipped a towel in hot water and applied it to soften the stiff body. Then everyone cleaned up the blood stains on Huang Jiguang's body and tried to keep his appearance as good as possible. In the end, Huang Jiguang's body was transported back to China and buried in the Shenyang Volunteer Army Martyrs Cemetery. In the same year, he was posthumously awarded the title of "Super Hero".

In 1953, the war to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea ended successfully, and Wang Qingzhen returned to China with the other volunteer soldiers. She later became a worker in a medical equipment factory, doing an obscure job. In 1960, Wang Qingzhen was recommended by the Military Commission and attended the National Youth Activists Congress. After arriving in Beijing, she met Chief Chi Haotian. Chi Haotian held Wang Qingzhen's hand tightly and said: Your selfless dedication on the battlefield to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea is still the spiritual teaching material of our army!
