The U.S. State Department has updated various immigration schedules for January 2023. Although the U.S. State Department had issued a warning last month, I did not expect it to come so soon! Starting from January 2023, Chinese citizens applying for EB-1 will return to the scheduling era...
Let's take a look at the specific arrangements for various types of immigration scheduling by the US State Department in January 2023 with the editor.
Employment-based immigration
Approval schedule for employment-based immigrants born in Mainland China (Table A):

Application submission schedule for employment-based immigrants born in Mainland China (Table B):

EB-1: Starting from January 2023, both EB-1 tables will be scheduled: Table A is scheduled for on February 1, 2022 , and Table B is scheduled for on June 1, 2022 .
EB-2: In January 2023, the EB-2 category dual-table scheduling was stagnant: Schedule A was stuck at June 8, 2019, and Table B was stuck at July 8, 2019.
Starting from December this year, the State Council officially announced that the EB-2 category has entered the era of global scheduling. The reason is that the number of EB-2 applications is increasing and the quota is no longer enough. After setting the scheduling, there will be no change in the global dual-list scheduling of EB-2 in January next year.
EB-3: After a slight movement last month, the January 2023 schedule continues to stagnate. The EB-3 Form A schedule remains on August 1, 2018, and the EB-3 Form B schedule remains on September 1, 2018.
EB-5: Affected by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022, the EB-5 Regional Center was once again authorized to resume scheduling in May this year. At the same time, three new categories have emerged, namely rural areas, high unemployment areas and infrastructure projects.
EB-5 Investment Immigration Unreserved, which corresponds to pre-reform direct investment projects and regional center projects, the scheduling is stagnant in January 2023: the schedule for Table A is on March 22, 2015 , and the schedule for Table B still stays at on January 1, 2016 .
Set Aside, corresponding to the three Reserved categories appearing in the new bill, namely rural areas, high unemployment areas and infrastructure projects with no schedule .
Applicants who are interested in EB-5 U.S. investment immigration applications still have to grasp the new law and new policies and apply for the three Reserved categories that appear in the new bill. Applicants in need can contact us on WeChat for consultation.
