Originally, after receiving the acceptance notice from the Immigration Bureau, this I-797 and an expired green card were presented together with the applicant's valid identity certificate, and the validity period was 12 months. After the new policy is implemented, the I-797 received will be valid for 24 months. The Immigration Bureau has also begun to issue I-797 with a valid for 24 months for applicants who have submitted I-90 applications and have not received a new green card.
