Texas Governor Greg Abbott said the state deliberately sent two buses full of immigrants to Vice President Kamala Harris' residence in Washington to protest the Biden administration's immigration policy. On Thursday morning, dozens of immigrants stayed temporarily on the sidewalk and on the grass outside the U.S. Naval Observatory on on Thursday morning, while unprepared volunteers were busy resettling them.
Immigrants are near the residence of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Since this year, at least three Republican governors have used buses or planes to send immigrants north to express protests. Abbott tweeted: "Hardris Vice President claims that our borders are 'safe' and denied the existence of the crisis. We sent immigrants to her backyard to call on the Biden administration to do a good job and ensure border security."
Texas believes that the Biden administration has implemented immigration policies without stable countermeasures, resulting in a surge in illegal immigration and other border crises. In order to express protest, illegal immigrants were sent directly to Washington in April, and recently to New York and Chicago . The mayors of these cities are democratic parties that support immigration policies. After all, it is still a political struggle between parties.
