However, the Australian Immigration Bureau will issue you with different validity periods to according to your personal situation. Generally speaking, it is divided into the following situations:
- has lived in Australia as an Australian PR for at least 2 years in the past 5 years, and then it will meet the so-called "residence requirements". RRVs that are valid for 5 years can be issued.
- has lived in Australia as an Australian PR in the past 5 years for more than 2 years. But you can prove that you have any substantial connection with Australia and that it can be in Australia's interests. Then you can get RRVs that are up to 12 months old.
- cannot meet all the requirements of the appeal, but you can provide compelling and sympathetic reasons. Then you can get RRV approved for up to 3 months.
There is no age restriction for applying for an Australian RRV visa, but you must be a permanent Australian citizen , or have been a permanent Australian citizen and that status has not been cancelled or deprived. When proving your "substantive connection" with Australia, you need to prove that you have an uninterrupted business or cultural link with Australia, or be able to prove employment or personal connections, including family kinship.
