A total of approximately 1,228,000 non-citizens became lawful permanent residents of the United States (LPR) in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022 (Q1).
Nearly 112,000 non-citizens entered the United States as new immigrants, a 379% increase from the first quarter of fiscal year 2021.
More than 116,000 noncitizens adjusted their status within the United States, a 7% increase from the first quarter of fiscal 2021.
This significant growth shows that after the impact of the new crown epidemic in 2020, US Citizenship and Immigration Services has returned to past levels.

More than 197,000 people were naturalized in the United States in Q1 of fiscal year 2022 (see table below), an increase of 45% from Q1 of fiscal year 2021 , more than 136,000 people were naturalized at that time. This data indicates that has returned to pre-epidemic levels.

4% of the total number of naturalized people in fiscal year 2022 Q1 comes from the top five countries: Mexico, India, Philippines, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
