Applicable objects: 485GWS applicants

Applicable time: July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023

Favorable policies:

1. From July 1, 2022 Starting from today, 485GWS applicants no longer need to meet the requirements for nominated occupation; and

　2. No longer need to provide a career assessment;

　3. There is no need to study long-list immigration vocational courses, covering all majors.

This means that almost any TAFE graduate who has completed 2 years of study in Australia in the next financial year is eligible to apply for a 2-year graduate work permit!

However, different professional courses correspond to different academic requirements for CIII, CIV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma.

Immigration Bureau’s cancellation of nomination occupation and occupation assessment this time is equivalent to relaxing the application requirements for 485GWS.

　The purpose is to expand the scope of applicants and encourage more VET graduates to stay and work in Australia for a longer period of time in order to supplement Australia's currently severely understaffed labor market.
