Taiwan has opened its "border" since October 13, but the " small three-way " on both sides of the Taiwan Strait has not resumed late. The Spring Festival is approaching. Many Taiwanese compatriots and people in the Jinma area who are doing business in the mainland need to work hard to return home, and the air tickets to return home have soared to four or five times that of normal. Many Taiwanese compatriots in the mainland are still hesitating whether to return to Taiwan for the New Year. In response to this, Ma Zuzu's former Taiwanese resident Cao Yuanzhang called on the DPP authorities to open up the "small three links" before the Spring Festival to facilitate people's return home.

In 1998, Cao Yuanzhang and Kim Jesshou, who was then a Taipei County Councilor, organized a nine-person "passing the barrier" team and rented a boat to fly directly from Taiwan Xiamen , making a voice to the whole world that "need three connections and direct flights" between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, but was sentenced to the Taiwanese authorities. Cao Yuanzhang's political views were always separated from the "small three links" during his campaign, thus creating today's "small three links".
Cao Yuanchang said angrily when attending the "Straits and Family Family Blessings and Spring Festival Couplets to Congratulate Spring" event on the 17th that he sincerely hopes that the "Miscellaneous Three Links" can be restarted, but seeing that the DPP authorities completely ignore the people's needs to return home, he believes that there is little hope of restarting the "Miscellaneous Three Links" before the Spring Festival. However, on the 24th, the fellow Kinmen Mazu will join forces to Taipei, requiring the DPP authorities to open the "small three links" as soon as possible.
Cao Yuanzhang also said that Su Zhenchang's "mainland robbing medicine" was simply a joke, it was just an excuse for him to prevent the "small three links" from opening, or a windward balloon. Therefore, Cao Yuanzhang hopes that the mainland and Taiwan’s private sectors can put pressure on the DPP authorities, which may have some effect.

Zhou Zhiru, vice chairman of the Siming District Taiwan Compatriots United Trade Union who participated in the same event, said that the "small three links" are not only a means of transportation, but also carry the historical love and culture of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, realizing the one-day life circle of Chinese culture. She gave an example, if you set out from Xiamen in the morning, you can go to Tainan at noon. However, Zhou Zhiru also has no hope of restarting the "Miscellaneous Three Links" before the Spring Festival. She said that there is no obstacle in the mainland, but the DPP authorities are just trying to do it with a slight face.

Fu Kunlong, vice president of the Minnan Cultural Research Association in Haicang District, Taipei, said that he hopes that the "small three links" can be restarted before the Spring Festival, because the convenience of the "small three links" is particularly highlighted during the Chinese New Year. He said that the one-way ticket to Taiwan now costs 7,000 to 8,000 yuan, while the round trip through the "Mini Three Pass" is only about 1,400 yuan. If the "Mini Three Pass" is open this year, he will consider returning to Taiwan for the New Year.
Fu Kunlong also said that most of the people who traveled between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait through the "Miscellaneous Three Links" are Taiwanese compatriots who visit relatives and do business, and the Taiwanese people will not believe Su Zhenchang's words.
