Recently, the first China-Gulf Arab Countries Summit was held in Saudi Arabia capital Riyadh . At this meeting, we delivered a speech entitled "Continue the past and open up the future, work together to create a better future for China-Overseas Relations". It can be said that this speech pointed out the direction for the future development of China-Arab relations, laid the foundation, and drew a blueprint.
Let’s look back at this speech together. The speech begins with a talk about the history of friendly exchanges between us and the Gulf Arab countries for nearly two thousand years. Along the traces of the ancient Silk Road, the Chinese people and the Arab people have jointly uphold the wisdom of peace, harmony and true knowledge, and jointly wrote a brilliant chapter of win-win cooperation, unity and mutual assistance.
Why can China-United States relations develop in such a long-lasting manner? The reason why China Overseas relations have achieved leapfrog development is rooted in deep mutual trust, high complementarity, mutual understanding of the people, and sharing weal and woe. In short, it is telling Arab friends that at the crossroads of history, we must continue the traditional friendship between China Overseas, carry forward the past and work together.

China is willing to work with the Gulf Arab countries to promote the implementation of the global development initiative and promote common prosperity. Third, we must be partners who build safety together. We will continue to firmly support the resolution of issues through dialogue and consultation to maintain the security of the Gulf Arab countries themselves. Last but not least, China and the Gulf Arab countries should be partners in promoting civilization together. Enhance mutual understanding between the people, enrich exchanges in the cultural field, and make positive contributions to promoting the development of human civilization.

These four initiatives are not only our voice, but also the common expectation of the Gulf Arab countries, because the GCC countries, like China, shoulder the glorious mission of national rejuvenation. Gulf countries have strong economic strength, but they also see that the oil dividend will definitely not last long. Therefore, the UAE, , Qatar , Saudi Arabia and other countries have been undergoing economic transformation over the years.
