The registration for the election of party chairman and party representatives has ended on the 30th of last month and is expected to vote on December 10th. However, as of the registration deadline, only the current party chairman Ke Wen-je registered to run for election. If Ko Wen-je wants to be re-elected, he must obtain 300 party members' signings according to the procedures before he can become a candidate.
People's Party pointed out that the registration for the second party chairman and party representative election starts on November 27 until November 30. As long as you join the party before August 9 this year and are at least 18 years old, you can register for the party representative; if you join the party before December 9 last year, and are at least 20 years old, or are currently a member of the Central Committee, you can register for the party chairman.
People's Party stated that those who run for the party chairman must obtain 300 party members' signings, and those who run for the party representative must obtain 15 party members' signings. It is expected that the candidate number will be drawn publicly on December 5 and the election communiqué will be announced. A political opinion conference for the party chairman candidates will be held on December 8. The overall voting date for the party post election will be scheduled to be issued at 5 pm that day.
It is reported that as of the end of registration at 6 p.m. on the 30th, there was only one person who registered the party chairman, and the person was the current party chairman Ko Wen-je. However, if he wants to be re-elected, he must obtain 300 party members to sign to become a candidate.
