Introduction to UKCA certification in the UK:
According to the requirements of the UK building product regulations, from January 1, 2023, all construction products entering the UK must comply with relevant regulations and standards. After Brexit , the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessment) mark is the market access mark for products that intend to enter the UK market (England, Welsh and Scotland ). It covers most products that originally required the CE logo. At the same time, the construction products/ expanded perlite slabs (EPB) insulation material still needs to be CE certified .
Building insulation material / Mineral Wool Insulation material UKCA mark and CE mark are the same as the manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that the product complies with the standards stipulated in the law. According to the CPR of the building product regulations and the implementation standards of the response building product (such as the implementation standard for the expansion perlite slab (EPB) insulation material is: EN 13169), select the corresponding certification system (System 1, System 3 or System 4), and test or evaluate and certified for the expansion perlite slab (EPB) products in accordance with the requirements of EN 13169, and add the UKCA mark.

This European standard specifies the requirements for foamed perlite slab products produced by factory for building insulation, with or without surface or coating. Products are produced in the form of sheets, multi-layer insulation or composite insulation products.
This standard also includes composite insulation products (see Appendix E). The products covered by this standard are also used for prefabricated insulation systems and composite panels; the performance of the systems containing these products is not included.

EN 13169 Expanded perlite slab (EPB) insulation material UKCA certification - certification process:
1. Fill in the UKCA certification application form,
2. Provide product information, evaluate and certification system (system 1, system 3 or system 4)
3. System 1 conduct factory review or system 3 sample sending test
4. Sample performance detection (EN 13501-1 fire resistance performance level detection, etc.)
5. Issuing test report/UKCA certificate
6. Issue the DOP documents required for UKCA certification and to add the UKCA logo on product
UK Declaration of Conformity (UKCA-DOP):
UK Declaration of Conformity is a document that must be accompanied by most products that legally carry the UKCA logo. In your document as the manufacturer, or your authorized representative (where permitted by relevant laws), you should:
1. Declare that the product complies with the relevant statutory requirements applicable to a particular product.
2. Ensure that the file contains the name and address of the manufacturer (or your UK authorized representative) and information about the product and conformity assessment agency
