At the press conference, in response to reporters' questions, Yang Shuguang, deputy secretary of the Gaotang County Committee of the Communist Party of China and county magistrate, introduced the achievements made by Gaotang County in improving urban functions, improving urban management, and enhancing urban vitality over the past ten years.
For ten years, Gaotang County has focused on co-construction and sharing and continuously improved urban functions. 25 new urban roads, more than 100 kilometers have been newly built and renovated, and the heating area has been added to more than 5 million square meters. 13,000 shanty town renovations and 55 old communities were renovated. 7 urban and 9 urban and rural new energy bus routes have been opened, and the intercity bus from Gaotang to Jinan has been put into operation. 9 new energy vehicle charging stations have been put into use. Build 631 5G base stations to achieve continuous coverage of 5G signals in urban areas. Three crossing overpasses and three water parks have been built.
Over the past decade, Gaotang County has strengthened urban management and strived to enhance the city's image. Upgrade the digital urban management platform, and the " smart urban management " system operates efficiently. It was approved as a pilot county for the construction of four-star new smart city in Shandong Province. The experience and practices of "urban management into communities" are promoted throughout the province. The Guandao Street area was selected as the "provincial urban renewal pilot area". Promote the deep integration of the creation of "red property" and property services, establish more than 200 "red property management committees" to activate new momentum for community governance. The first sanitation station of 32 bank outlets in the city has been opened, which has enhanced the sense of gain of the majority of sanitation workers. The greening coverage rate of built-up areas reached 44.7%, and the per capita park green space area reached 12 square meters. The urbanization rate reached 54.1%, and the provincial-level I-type small cities pilot task was successfully completed. It has been awarded the honorary titles of national water-saving social construction standards and national health county towns. It has been approved as a pilot county for the preparation of provincial land and space planning and a pilot zone for the provincial urban-rural integration development.
Yang Shuguang said that in the next step, Gaotang County will focus on the people’s new expectations for the city, lead the city’s transformation with the concept of quality, and accelerate the construction of a modern, quality-oriented city that is livable and suitable for business.
