Assistant Director of the Auckland Police Department Allison said that the shooting occurred at around 1 pm on the 28th, located in the Eastmont Hills community of the city, where there are 4 schools, including a junior high school and a high school. At that time, gunfire came from a K-12 independent school there.
Auckland mayor said a total of 6 people were injured in the shooting, all of whom were adults and were receiving treatment in local hospitals.
