Huayu News According to a compilation report by Panama Zhongxun, the Panamanian authorities will install a total of 120 street surveillance cameras in La Chorrera from April to June 2021.
Chorrera Mayor Tomás Velásquez said; “We have also joined the city monitoring system project and have set a timetable for the implementation of monitoring and governance throughout the region from April to June.”
According to reports, the monitoring system operation center in the Western Province of Panama is under construction and will be integrated with Panama’s C-5 and Colon Province’s C-2.
The project invested a total of 7.5 million US dollars in investment.
The Minister of National Security Juan Pino (Juan Pino) visited the facilities of the operation center and pointed out that these municipal operation rooms will become the main tools for combating criminal groups.
He added that so far, more than 40 guns have been seized nationwide in February. In addition, it was pointed out that 80% of crimes were related to drug problems between gangs.
