According to Reuters , the Swedish Security Bureau said on October 6 local time that after the on-site investigation, the department found evidence that an explosion occurred at the "North Stream" pipeline leak point, which increased the possibility that the pipeline leak was due to "severe deliberate damage."
Swedish Security Bureau issued a statement on the 6th saying: "After completing the site investigation, the Swedish Security Bureau can determine that there was an explosive detonation in 'North Stream' No. 1 and 2 of the exclusive economic zone of Sweden ."
Swedish Security Bureau reported that the pipeline was severely damaged, and the security bureau personnel were also engaged in the scene to take away some objects and will analyze it. The Security Bureau also said that the evidence made people "more suspicious of artificial mass destruction of the pipeline."
Germany, Denmark, Sweden has filed an investigation into the cause of the accident. Russia has called on multiple countries to coordinate the investigation, but was rejected.
The Swedish Attorney General responded on October 5 that Sweden cannot allow other countries to participate in its own criminal investigations. Danish Foreign Minister Koford also pointed out on the 6th that the investigation was led by the police of Denmark, Sweden and Germany.
Kremlin spokesman Peskov said on the 6th that Russia has learned through diplomatic channels that it is impossible to participate in the investigation, and "there is currently no plan to require Russia to participate in the investigation."
