Awarded the third batch of service-oriented manufacturing demonstration cities
At the opening ceremony, Xu Kemin and Jiang Zhengui jointly awarded the third batch of service-oriented manufacturing demonstration cities. According to the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the announcement of the third batch of service-oriented manufacturing demonstration lists", the third batch of demonstration selections include Wuxi , Hangzhou, Chengdu, Qingdao , Ningbo , and Shanghai (Pudong New Area) Nine cities, Yantai , Chongqing and Shenzhen, were selected as national service-oriented manufacturing demonstration cities. As of now, there are 15 service-oriented manufacturing demonstration cities in my country, which have played an important leading role in promoting the transformation of old and new driving forces in urban manufacturing, promoting the integrated development of regional industries, and serving the country's overall regional development strategy.

The "Global Service-Oriented Manufacturing Development Index Report" released at the conference was the most eye-catching highlight of this conference. With the vigorous development of service-oriented manufacturing in my country, how to correctly understand and evaluate the development level of service-oriented manufacturing has become an urgent issue that needs to be discussed and solved by the industry and academia. Under the guidance of the Industrial Policy and Regulation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Service-Oriented Manufacturing Alliance and Service-Oriented Manufacturing Research Institute jointly compiled the "Global Service-Oriented Manufacturing Development Index Report" (hereinafter referred to as the report). The
report evaluates the development status of service-oriented manufacturing in various countries from three aspects: manufacturing foundation, ecological construction, and development effectiveness, and divided into 15 indicators. The report analysis pointed out that in the context of the global economic downturn, the service-oriented manufacturing index of developed countries such as the United States and Japan has shown a downward trend, but China has maintained steady growth for five consecutive years since 2016. The report ranks the 2021 global service-oriented manufacturing development index and draws the important conclusion that China ranks fourth in the world and remains at the top of the second echelon.

At the meeting, the first blue book in China that comprehensively introduced the development status, status and trends of service-oriented manufacturing - "China Service-Oriented Manufacturing Development Report (2021)" was also released. For the first time, the Blue Book presents a panoramic view of the challenges and opportunities, key points and difficulties faced by my country in developing service-oriented manufacturing, as well as development paths, key technologies, policy actions, etc. It focuses on the progress of basic theoretical research and application countermeasures of service-oriented manufacturing, which will help Guide enterprises' service-oriented manufacturing innovation practices and provide work reference for government economic management departments at all levels.
