Zhang Jun, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations: No matter what name the three countries (the United States, Britain, and Australia) give to their cooperation on nuclear submarines, they cannot conceal the essence of their nuclear proliferation behavior. It cannot eliminate its negative impact on the political and diplomatic settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue, nor can it change the threat it poses to regional peace, security and stability. Such double standards and practices that undermine the goals and purposes of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons must be corrected to maintain the authority and effectiveness of the international nuclear non-proliferation system.

China stated that China has always been committed to promoting the process of political and diplomatic settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue, and will continue to uphold a fair and objective stance to promote the comprehensive agreement to return to the right track at an early date.
