After the European Union imposed the sixth round of sanctions on Russia, the Baltic country Lithuania became particularly active in imposing sanctions on Russia, becoming the first country to attack Russia. Just a few days ago, Lithuania cut off domestic land freight channels to the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, making it impossible to import nearly 50% of the goods needed in the Kaliningrad region. Fortunately, Russia can transport it by water to alleviate Kaliningrad’s pressing needs. However, relations between Russia and Russia have become increasingly tense.
What people didn’t expect was that the UK would take advantage of this. According to British media reports, General Gurulev, Vice Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, said in an interview with Russian media that if Lithuania’s blockade of Kaliningrad triggers "World War III", Russia will be the primary target of attack. It will be London. He believed that the threat to the world came from the Anglo-Saxons.
Regarding Lithuania’s blockade of Kaliningrad, Russia said, “This is tantamount to a declaration of war against Russia.” Russia issued an "ultimatum" to Lithuania. But in the face of powerful Russia, Lithuania appeared very tough and did not give in to Russia at all. Lithuanian President Nauseda declared that Lithuania is ready to deal with some form of Russian retaliation and that he does not believe that Russia will "use force" against Lithuania.
Faced with the potential risk of war, the EU could not sit still at first. The European Commission negotiated with Lithuania to clarify the impact of sanctions and tried to mediate to ease the conflicts between the two countries.
It is not without reason that Lithuania is so tough. As a member of NATO , it is protected by the collective defense clause of Article 5 of the NATO Charter. If Russia takes action against Lithuania, this clause will be triggered, and other NATO countries will have to come to the rescue. We must know that there are as many as 30 NATO member states. If these countries participate, it will inevitably trigger a large-scale military conflict.
So the theory of "World War III" is not groundless, and Russia, the United States, Britain and France are all nuclear powers. Once a conflict breaks out between the two sides, the world will face an unprecedented nuclear war , and there will be no winner in this war.
Such a risk is definitely before us today. Gurulev bluntly stated in a TV program that the possibility of a world war is extremely high. The Russian army has made relevant preparations for this, and Gurulev stated Russia's "three-step plan" in response to the war.
The first step is to attack the space satellite groups of NATO countries indiscriminately. This will blind NATO countries’ weapon systems that rely on satellites for positioning strikes and weaken NATO countries’ counterattack and reconnaissance capabilities.
The second step will be to attack NATO's missile defense system , causing NATO to lose its defense capabilities.
After losing its defense capabilities, Russia's third step is to launch missile attacks on NATO countries. Gurulev thus emphasized that they would not attack Warsaw , Paris, Berlin first, but would first bomb London.
Although the "three-step plan" he proposed is only a rough countermeasure and relatively idealistic, it can be seen from the side that Russia is already prepared. So why has Britain become Russia’s primary target of attack? According to Gurulev's own words, "the threat to the world comes from the Anglo-Saxons."
From what Britain did in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, we can see how much Britain hates Russia. The British government has closely followed the United States in providing arms assistance to Ukraine, providing a large amount of advanced equipment to Ukraine , becoming the country with the largest arms support to Ukraine in Europe. The weapons provided by the UK have increased the casualties of the Russian army. British Foreign Secretary Truss also openly or covertly supports his own citizens to go to Ukraine to fight against Russia.
British Prime Minister Johnson also encouraged Zelensky to form a "government in exile" overseas to fight against Russia if Ukraine falls.It can be seen that the British government is determined to oppose Russia. Russia deeply hates Britain's long-term hostile practices. Fortunately, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is not over yet, and Britain, which encourages Ukraine to continue to fight against Russia, has become Russia's primary target.
