The instigation of others can always intensify conflicts and sometimes cause irreversible results. Not long ago, a 35-year-old woman was accused of instigating her ex-husband and her current boyfriend to engage in a fight similar to a medieval "death duel" because they both wanted to be with her.
The woman's name is Asta, and she is a paramedic who lives in London, England. Her ex-husband, 42-year-old Giedruis, was recently found lying on the street. He was stabbed in multiple places and covered in blood. He was later pronounced dead.
Allegedly, Giedruis was involved in a brawl. The opponent was Asta’s new boyfriend Mantas, a 25-year-old man with a criminal record. Although Mantas confessed to the murder, the prosecutors said they have sufficient evidence to prove that the fighting between the two men was instigated by their mutual love partner.
Who is this common love partner?
According to the prosecutor, when Asta divorced his ex-husband six months ago, the man was unwilling. After the divorce, they were still very close. And Giedruis still claims that Asta belongs to him. But Asta obviously had other plans. Soon after divorcing her husband, she met the prisoner Mantas through another man.
According to phone records, Giedruis and Manta had been in contact all day before the fight, and afterwards they had an argument in a brick alley. The prosecution believed that this proved that this modern version of the "death duel" was premeditated and that the woman they were fighting for was also responsible.
According to reports, Asta once told a close friend that the two men would fight for who would win her love. She also asked Mantas to "use severe violence" against her ex-husband.Mantas listened to her and stabbed his opponent 35 times.
This close friend said: "I warned her that if Giedrius comes to see other men at home, things will become very dangerous. At the time Asta said they would fight because Geidrius is a very jealous person."
After the murder, Mantas was hidden in the home by Asta, and was later arrested by the police and pleaded guilty. Allegedly, Asta selectively deleted cell phone text messages before being confiscated by the police and lied many times during the interrogation. Asta himself denied involvement in murder and obstruction of justice.
