They have horns on their heads, exposed teeth, long venom glands, and are worth millions. In this issue, the editor will take you to get to know these 4 magical venomous snakes that live in nature. See how many of them you know?
It has horns on its head --- the Desert Horned Viper
The Desert Horned Viper is a snake distributed in the desert areas of North Africa. It mainly appears in Morocco , Mauritania , Sahara , the Republic of Mali and other regions.
Their bodies are khaki in color, with a small horn on their head. These horns are usually stored in the grooves on their skulls, but as soon as they are threatened or attacked, they will draw their sharp blades to deter their opponents.
Desert horned vipers live in inaccessible deserts, so once people are bitten by them, they often die because they do not receive timely treatment.
Their venom is as toxic as the well-known five-step snake, which can cause symptoms such as massive bleeding in the bitten person. Eventually, the bitten person will die from heart failure .
Teeth exposed---The burrow viper
The burrow viper is also a venomous snake distributed in Africa. It is common in South Africa, Republic of Congo, Uganda, eastern Tanzania and other regions.
Their bodies come in a variety of colors and their teeth are exposed, so sometimes they can still bite even if someone strangles their necks.
Burrowing vipers are generally 30 to 50 centimeters long. They are a type of gregarious snake and are often found in groups in semi-deserts, savannahs and forest areas.
Their venom is very toxic. Once a person is bitten by one, symptoms such as wound swelling, blistering, and muscle necrosis will occur, which is very dangerous.
Extra long venom glands --- Blue long gland coral snake
Blue long gland coral snake, also known as Javanese snake , is mainly distributed in southern Myanmar, Thailand, western Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java and other regions.
Their whole body is mainly blue, with a black horizontal band on their back. Their venom glands extend to the inner third of the body. They are the longest among many snakes.
The blue glandular coral snake often lives in inaccessible primary forests and mature secondary forests, and is active at night, so people rarely encounter it. It is also known as "the most mysterious venomous snake".
Their venom is mainly neurotoxin, and there is currently no relevant serum available. Therefore, due to its huge amount of detoxification, once a person is bitten, it is likely to mean death.
Worth millions --- Mangshan iron-headed snake
Mangshan iron-headed snake, also known as Mangshan original spearhead viper, is a species of snake unique to my country and only distributed in Mangshan Nature Reserve in Hunan.
When they were first discovered, because they were rare in number and of great research value, they were sold for millions on the black market that specializes in smuggling, and they are still worth a lot of money today.
The number of Mangshan iron-headed snakes in the wild is currently only about 500. Although the number has recovered compared to before, it is still in danger of extinction.
Their venom is similar to that of a five-step snake. Once a person is bitten by one, symptoms such as swelling, blackening, and ulceration of the wound will occur. As a famous protector snake doctor Chen Yuanhui, he lost a small part of his finger due to being bitten by one.
That’s it for everyone in this issue. It’s not easy to organize. I hope you can like it and support it.
