Small head, sharp mouth

Nuzzo Shrike is a bird of the genus Shrike and Shrike. The top of their heads and pillows are chestnut red, and with two bright eyes, they look like "bull's head", and they also have another name " red-headed shrike ". The male bird of the Bullhead Shrike has black eye patterns and white eyebrow patterns, which is richer in color. In contrast, the female bird's feather color appears much more single. The oxhead shrike is small in size, with a total length of about 220 mm, but has a sharp mouth with hooks in front of the mouth and teeth inside.

What are the habits of the Bullhead Shrike?

Nowtshu mainly lives in sparse forests and forest edge shrub grasslands in low mountains, hills and plains, and also enters and exits the shrubs and valleys along the farm roads. They can sometimes be seen in orchards and town parks. They feed on insects such as flies and locusts, including Coleoptera , Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera . The active-minded shrike often jumps up and down in the forest edge or roadside bushes, and sometimes stands on the branches of small trees or shrubs, with a rough and loud sound and a little hoarse.

Nauthschul breeding period is May-July. They often build nests in sparse forests or shrubs, and their nests are cup-shaped, with fine branches, dead leaves, pine needles, etc. The number of eggs laid in each litter is mostly 4-7, and the eggs are light cyan or gray, with brown, gray-brown or red spots on them. The eggs of the oxhead shrike are hatched by female professions and have an incubation period of 14-15 days. After the eggs hatch, the male and female birds raise broods together, and the 5th period of broods are 13-14 days. The Niutou Shrike breeds once a year, and moves to southern and southeastern Inner Mongolia in China in April to breed, leaving from late September to early October.

Nutao Shirou is distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shandong, Gansu, Ningxia, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Taiwan and other places in China. However, in the northeastern region of , the population of this bird is not high. In Jilin and Liaoning provinces, Niutou Shrike has been included in the list of key protected wildlife.
