As the division of labor in modern society becomes increasingly refined, the repetitive and boring work pace continues to accelerate. In order to make up for the mental emptiness, people seek compensation from the fun that is eight hours away, and keeping pets is a fashion for people. According to statistics, so far, there have been hundreds of millions of pet adopters in my country, which shows the great market prospects.
Many people feel that when you come home from work one day and enjoy the time with the little animals will make you feel particularly relaxed and comfortable, and the fatigue and worries of the day will disappear without a trace. The great scholar Ji Xianlin loves cats in his later years. When he is with cats, he feels "I feel happy, calm, and happy."
23 years ago, I also adopted a Jingba pet dog named Beibei. It accompanied me for 13 spring and autumn and died in 2012. The feeling I gave me was basically the same. On this occasion of my tenth anniversary, I wrote this article to commemorate it, aiming to inform the society of my experience, so as to make people understand them, care for them, and fulfill social responsibilities.
Faced with the current team of 40 million stray dogs in our country, I remembered the Buddhist proverb: Bodhisattvas fear the cause, and sentient beings fear the result. To curb this trend of harming small animals and endangering social ecology, source management must be strengthened.
When Beibei left, the reason why I dared not adopt small animals was that, except for the pain of Beibei that made me unable to bear to have a second Beibei, I suddenly realized that I no longer raise small animals that belong to me, only then did I have the time and energy to pay attention to the "Bebei" in society and those who are fighting the wind, frost, rain, snow and homelessness.
So, the concern about stray dogs in society made me destined to come into contact with stray dog Lulu and Diudou who was almost begging along the street.
The behavior and behavior of Chinese people are unique. Since ancient times, people often arranged a series of roles by society, and based on the interpretation of role positioning, they consciously improve their role awareness so that they can be a person for society, not for themselves. Because the Chinese people have stronger social consciousness than the West, and they feel that everyone belongs to society, which is different from the Western concept.
This thinking has a positive effect on restraining people's behavior and stabilizing society. However, this kind of behavioral constraint also has certain limitations on the expansion of social space in people's spare time. This is not difficult to know from the low proportion of job turnover rate (job change) in my country. It is far from the frequency of Western countries. In this regard, the poet Tagore once commented, "The foundation of the East is society, the country can perish, the society still exists, and the foundation of the West is the country, the country is everything."
The role consciousness of Chinese people is to pursue a sense of spiritual and moral superiority. The "Three Bonds and Five Constant Virtues" is to accurately define people's role positioning in a "righteous" social hierarchy system to clearly indicate the differences in the role status of oneself and others. Therefore, when people are worried about their jobs, they rarely get bored in the workplace, but choose to quietly find objects and methods to resolve them in their spare time. The solution of
includes both the method of transferring depression and the method of spiritual victory . Therefore, the Ah Q in Lu Xun's works will once become a portrayal of the personalities of a particular era in our country.
role positioning has become the basis for promoting interpersonal interactions. The extension of this hierarchical relationship includes family, non-family, and even broader relationships, which constitute the representation of the country of etiquette and righteousness. Life partner is a collaborator or companion that people need to effectively reflect social roles and adapt to interpersonal interactions.
Due to the dual attributes of human beings, human needs are multi-level. As a person in the sense of physiology, he has various material and physiological needs, but as a person in the sense of sociology, he also has cultural needs such as psychology, spirit, emotion, career, belief, and self-worth realization. No matter which demand is, per person needs to find his or her partner, which has two functions:
1. In today's increasingly detailed social division of labor, a partner in life and career can stimulate his or her own limited energy and adjust the psychological world to adapt to the needs of his or her role positioning.
2 is to help constrain and regulate irrational behaviors of self-interest from the perspective of relationship coordination, such as seeking common ground while reserving differences in family relationship processing, the relationship between maximizing profits and internalizing social costs in corporate development, and can also be extended to the establishment of normal relationship between humans and other biological populations.
John Dorn said in his article "Who is the death bell ringing for": "No one is an isolated island, and can be kept alive. If the sea water flushes out a piece, the continent will decrease, just like a strait losing a corner, like your friend or your own territory losing a piece. Anyone's misfortune is my loss, because I am a member of mankind. Therefore, don't ask who the death bell rings for, it will ring for you." Its profound philosophy can be extended from family relations to social relations, so that you will never be indifferent to the sufferings of others.

To summarize, there are three types of life partners:
One is a couple based on legal relationship . This is a companion with relatively stable relationships. The family they form becomes the "cell" of society. This is the starting point of interpersonal interaction, the basis of social code of conduct, and the harbor for human comfort. In China, where the ethical and cultural heritage is rich, the relationship between husband and wife has a special stability and sense of responsibility.
The second is to form like-minded partners based on the same behavioral goals. This kind of partnership only has the legal constraints of Contract Law , but it lacks the constraints of ethics and morality. However, because they have the same careers, share the same interests and are in harmony with each other, it is a relatively reliable, interest-related and phased synergistic relationship.
The third is a dependence-type partnership based on induction transmission between humans and specific biological populations. The original intention of this kind of partnership is to relieve boredom, enjoy and seek fun, which will then evolve into loyalty, care and friendship. Their objects are mostly pet dogs or pet cats. The relationship between people and them is a relationship of dependence and attachment, the relationship of obedience and obedience, and the relationship of service and service. Its characteristics are that the relationship of servants is relative. If it obeys you, you must serve it; the relationship of dependence is opposite. The more you rely on it, the more it adheres to you. The development trend of the relationship between the two will increase day by day until they cannot extricate themselves, and behind it is the inherent social responsibility of mankind.
The reason why I chose the third type of partner to explain the theme is because this kind of partner relationship is penetrating into mainstream society, but it is far from being recognized by mainstream society, and not to be legislative. For example, in the Western " Animal Protection Law ", there is an Italian rule: if you don't walk your dog for three days, the owner cannot dye your pet, or if you cut off any part of the pet's body for beauty, such as cutting off the dog's tail, etc. Those who abuse or abandon pets can be sentenced to jail for one year or fined 10,000 euros.
The beige I once raised has become my partner for 13 years from October 1999 to June 2012. Whether I was reading and writing, or leisurely recuperating. After being diagnosed with liver ascites by pet hospital , we deeply felt guilty about the serious inappropriate feeding structure!
In the 37 days before Beibei's death, we cherished our shame and aroused extraordinary emotional resonance between us and each other, and also triggered my many reflective philosophical thinking about life. My 50,000-word "Beibei Diary" records the countdown of Beibei's life cycle . I recorded every day of Beibei's last days with my heart, love, and even tears, in order to hope that people in modern society can cherish life, care for life, and sympathize with the weak from the perspective of social responsibility.
I thank Shanghai Xuelin Publishing House for this and edited it in my book "Life Perspective of Economic Transformation".
People often turn a blind eye to what they have for a long time, not only do they not realize it is rare, but they feel that it is redundant and even burdens. But when you predict that it is about to disappear and hurt, you will feel more precious and even fall into the pain and reluctance of being at a loss. I feel this way to Beibei, a pet who is not my kind.
After the countdown of Beibei's life cycle, as my 13-year-old partner is about to leave, I feel the pain of losing my support. This pain is unforgettable. It drives itself to completely reflect on the responsibilities that have been ruling against the animal world, including people's discrimination against the right to survive in animals. It reflects that "human interventionist" behavior has transcended the inanimate world of nature and entered the living world of nature.
. Human intervention in the living world has entered the domestic animal population population from wild animal population. This intervention is not only reflected in the disregard and discrimination of the right to survive in biological populations, but also in the destruction of the environment on which they rely on.
According to statistics, there are about 2.5 million known organisms in the earth's biosphere, including about 2 million animals, about 340,000 plants, and about 40,000 microorganisms in . They are very different from each other, but one thing is common to humans, that is, their life activities are inseparable from specific environmental spaces, and they must have good quality water, air, soil and nutrients.
Therefore, it is our social responsibility to restore the living environment and space of the biosphere that has been severely damaged. I have fully felt this from the journey that Beibei has gone through.
June 12, 2012 is the day when Beibei tells others about the world. It was a smoky morning. From time to time, the hawking of vegetables and fruits on the bridge walls of the roads and bridges came from outside the window. It became a habit for farmers and vendors here to get up early and go to bed late. Now is the time when Beibei sleeps the most, because the temperature is suitable in the morning, and it is the time when Beibei's breathing is relatively stable during the day, and it is also the best opportunity for the little guy to accumulate energy.
Therefore, we try to be careful, but the spiritual sense makes Beibei's big eyes flutter and watch our every move. After the morning market, we carried Beibei, who was unable to stretch our legs, in a basket, and moved along the river. On the side of the green road, I saw that Beibei had no longer had the same urination and defecation as before, and her spirit gradually declined. I suddenly felt that Beibei's situation might have changed. An ominous sign had appeared, and the ascites pressed Beibei's lungs again. A wave of sadness shattered my inch. Its irreversible disease is like not repeating the year and falling flowers are difficult to rise.
Figure 3, I fed the puppy that I had not had the last meal
Around 1 pm, Beibei screamed in the bathroom, and we went there. I saw the little guy gasping for breath, his expression dull, and I quickly chanted the Buddha's words and prayed for him. For about a quarter of an hour, although Beibei returned to normal, her spirit had dissipated and her breathing was still rushing.
Suddenly, I found that Beibei was almost breathless, and I saw that it was unable to breathe, and there was signs of a sudden death. At 1:30 pm, Bebe was abnormal and tried his best to pay attention to our movements. Whenever there was a sign of leaving its sight, he made a call until he saw us. Behind this move of
is that Beibei feels that his life is about to come to an end, but he is unwilling to leave alone outside our sight. Therefore, Bebe would crawl with me with difficulty from time to time. After it used up its last little effort to climb onto the bathroom floor, it fell to the ground and died in a scream as soon as it lay down.
We judged that it was myocardial ischemia that took Beibei away because Beibei's tongue coating was covered with iron ash and extended outwards, and her eyes suddenly fell to the ground, showing symptoms of myocardial infarction. I saw that Beibei still looked far away, and her love for her relatives was as good as the past. We helped Beibei close her eyes with tears and sent her on the way. I suddenly felt empty and looked dazed. It can be said that it has become a dream in the past thirteen years, with the guest road blew and autumn on both sides of the temples.
A hour later, I sent Beibei back to my hometown and dug the ground for it on the west wall of the small garden. Beibei lay peacefully in the red and green cotton towel quilt used to take a bath before his death, like a sleeping child.
Looking at Beibei's appearance after her death, every bit of Beibei's death appeared before my eyes again. Beibei can put herself in the shoes of others. Considering that we are old and have many diseases, we have made some effort in choosing the opportunity to part and how to pass away. It does not leave in the hot and hot days, nor at midnight, but at noon when the sun is dark; it does not part after a long tossing, but in an instant; it does not part with the main area of the apartment (such as the bedroom, living room, dining room or study), but staggers to the bathroom to sleep for a long time.
Bei's straightforwardness, kindness and kindness have a reputation in my circle of relatives and friends. This kind of character will be preserved until the last moment when life reaches the end of history, which shows that his character will never disappear. At that time, what the scenery left us was an extremely precious memory, an unforgettable guilt, and an unhealthy pain!

Our beloved Beibei really left, it never looked back.
The "Beibei Diary" which records its countdown on its life is also over. But our longing does not end, and our regrets do not end, and love will never end. At this moment, I no longer doubt that there is actually no essential difference in spirituality between humans and animals, and they can all be attributed to children of the earth. The mentor Engels has deeply revealed the relationship between animals and humans: "In the eyes of dogs, the owner is God."
