Cats are really well-behaved and cute when they sleep!
Many cat owners like the way cats cover their faces while sleeping. It feels cute! But, do you know why cats sleep with their faces covered?
There are generally five reasons why cats sleep with their faces covered:
1. Blocking the sun
Humans generally do not sleep where the sun can shine, and the same goes for cats. If there is light, it will affect their sleep quality. Therefore, when they cannot find a dark environment to sleep, they will extend their paws to block the light and avoid being exposed to the light.
2. Insulation
Cats' footpads and noses emit temperature. When the weather is cold, cats will cover their faces while sleeping to prevent their faces from freezing and to maintain body heat.
3. A sense of security
Cats’ faces are the part of their bodies that are more susceptible to injury. They cover their faces when sleeping, most likely because they want to cover their faces to prevent their faces from being injured by sudden attacks by enemies. Even in an environment that it trusts, this can add some security to it.
4. When pillow
Cats like to sleep on pillows. Sometimes they will snatch your pillow, and sometimes they will sleep on your clothes or quilt. If they can't find a pillow, they will choose to sleep on their stomach, using their arms as pillows. Pillows to protect their little brains.
5. I just like
. Cats have countless weird sleeping positions, and each cat likes to sleep in a different way.
Some like to sit on their backs
Some like to curl up in flower rolls
Some like to squat on bread:
And some like to sleep with their faces covered
Regardless of the sleeping position, they like to explain that they are more comfortable sleeping this way.
