Huize County , belonging to Qujing City, Yunnan, is located on the east bank of Jinsha River , in the northeastern Yunnan plateau, Wumengshan main peak area. The topography of the territory is west high and east low, undulating from south to north, descending in steps from west to east, with high mountains and deep valleys, and ravines. The highest peak in Qujing is the sea. The junctions of are all in Huize County.
Huize is a typical temperate plateau monsoon climate, with outstanding three-dimensional climate characteristics. "A mountain is divided into four seasons, with different days in every mile" is a true portrayal of the local climate. Abundant rainfall, abundant water resources, coupled with man-made protection, make the local ecological environment beautiful and rich in wild animal and plant resources.
Recently, a group of people in Huize County found in the grass by the side of the road a beautiful bird that is unknown and never seen again. I don’t know why, I don’t even fly when I see people. After leaving, the crowd immediately reported to the police for fear of being injured twice.
After receiving the police, the police from the local forest police squad rushed to the scene immediately and saw a bird lying motionless in the grass. Upon closer inspection, it was found that its red mouth was sharp and long. The plumage is mostly blue, the top of the head is black, the neck is white, and the wings are blue, black and white. After careful identification, it was confirmed that the name of this bird was the blue jade bird.

Through a comprehensive physical examination, it was found that this blue jade bird had no obvious trauma, but the body was relatively weak. Subsequently, the police fed it with food and water. After a period of rest, the blue jade bird gradually regained its vitality and was able to release it. In the end, the police took it to the wild and successfully released it to nature.
Emerald bird is a medium-sized bird and attracts attention for its beautiful feathers. There are 40 species of emerald in the world. There are 4 species of white-collar emerald , white-breasted emerald , red emerald and blue emerald in my country. They are all national second-level protected wild animals. Blue jadeite is mainly distributed in the southern part of my country. It likes to live alone and fly fast. It often inhabits rivers, lakes, swamps and other waters. Small fish, shrimps, crabs, aquatic insects, etc. are their food.
The original population of the blue jade bird was relatively stable. Due to the change of habitat, the influence of human activities and other reasons, the number of wild blue jade bird was gradually reduced and even became a low-risk species. In order to protect them, our country lists them as national secondary protected animals.
